IvannahG: When you get the new passport, you will fill a new ds160 form, then update your CGI portal and put the new passport number and ds160 app number, then reprint your appointment letter. 3 Likes |

bayocanny:Excuse me good sir, i'd really appreciate if you would expound more on this. B'cos i am an UG of pol. sci. aspiring to study public policy at masters level in the US, but we've been made to believe that pol sci and other social science discipline is'nt marketable abroad. How about graduating with outstanding grades does your institution tend to retain you?. Thank you. |

This is the worst transcript I have ever seen be it on nairaland, Facebook or quora. It is better you delete the whole thing. Just leave visa approved. BabsofAbj247: 8 Likes |

Simonokeh7:Don't be discourage about that. Political Science is a good discipline with numerous opportunities out there, especially in the US. Good to know you're working towards graduate school, I will advise you finish with good grades, write GRE and Toefl if you have the means to do so. Look for schools that offers your proposed Msc program and apply. Not everybody will go for STEM programs, NON STEM programs are in-demand and marketable as well. As a prospective graduate applicant, your biggest undoing is to go for a program that does not tally with your academics projection or simply because everybody are going for STEM programs and you want to join the train. NON STEM program are also funded in the states, I knew of two guys from this thread that got admitted to political science at Texas Tech fully funded. Do your diligence brother, I wish you the best. 1 Like |

Dayoaf:Have good grades, sit for GRE and Toefl. Ensure you have a good scores. Look for school that match your profile and endeavour to send a mail to the GC, make inquiries about admission requirements and funding opportunities especially for international students. If your intending program is a research based, send cold email to a faculty member within your department, whose research interest closely align to what you intend to study. |

Good evening guys... Please who is better to be used as a sponsor, my mother who is an administrator at a university here or my father in-law who owns a big construction company with track record. Is there any disadvantage for using my father in-law. Both of them have the requisite amount to cover my COA. I am asking because am about sending my SOA for my I-20 for Spring. Thanks guys. |
