CheerfulGiver:for surge conditions, just apply the % For example, you received a request, no surge. Surge trips come as 1.1x, 1.2x 1.3x , maximum on bolt is 1.9x. Where .1x to .9x is basically extra 10% to 90%.... That's why surge is a driver's best friend. You're to pick rider from 5 Allen Avenue. Destination is parktonian hotel, ikate, lekki. You navigate to the address, and slide arriving now. You don't get paid waiting until after you've waited for 5 mins at which point you start earning 11naira for every minute you wait. So let's say in this example, you wait for 10mins. She comes out after 10 mins, you start trip. Even before leaving, your fare is 260 + 110 = 370. Bolt will always round up to 500 as minimum fare or to the nearest 100 on trips Now assuming trip is for 1hr 20 mins and distance is 40km, let's calculate the final fare from 1.0x to 1.9x 1.0x Waiting time - 10mins = 110naira Base fare. = 260 naira Trip time - 80 mins. = 880 naira Km fare. = 2800 naira Total fare. = 4050 naira, or 4100. 1.1x = 4,500 1.2x = 5,000 1.3x = 5,400 1.4x = 5,800 1.5x = 6,200 1.6x = 6,600 1.7x = 7,000 1.8x = 7,400 1.9x = 7,800 These are close estimates. Could be more, or less, fractionally but not significantly. If you wait for her to buy any thing, extra minutes count. It's good to know how to calculate so you know when the system has shortchanged you. 13 Likes 1 Share |

Noone7:I politely asked a middle-aged grandmother to get the fuck_ out of my car today for trying to play on my intelligence. How can you request a trip from Lagos Island to Mile 2 bustop, and be telling me the trip will be Patapata 2k, and that you won't pay more than 2k regardless of what the app shows? I refused and told her I'll collect whatever comes up after I end trip. She said she knows, but that as a brother she's telling me in advance to avoid problems, that they told her it was between 1800 and 2k.... Who the fuck_ exactly, is they? And how on God's green earth am I in any way, shape or form related to this woman and what was it she saw in me that suggested to her that I'm running a family business cum charity organization with my fuel and car or that I'm swayed by sentiments such as "my son" or "my brother?" I told her point blank with a smiley face, to tell whoever requested the trip to use indriver, hopefully, pope191 could be around the corner to come to her rescue but as long as she's insisting on paying a flat rate of 2k, my interest in embarking on that trip was as flaccid as a "5 letter word" after "7 letter word". I cancelled trip and opened the boot for them to get her stuff out. I prayed to make 40k before leaving home. That would have been my second trip of the day so it was too early for such nonsense. 10 Likes |

Why should I be the one to call you? I be customer agent? If you're late you'll call If your appointment is serious to you you will call You don't call means you're not ready to move so I simply arrive then wait 5min and if you still don't call I simply cancel... truthsayer009: How is approach each time you call a driver for a PU? Do you great or respond to greetings before asking? Do you start yiur convo by saying "where are you"? What's your profile name? Do you hide number to call? Are most of your trips fare estimate less than N1k or above ? Your rating could also be a factor. These May be some of the reasons drivers wouldn't want to pick u up. Try using the chat channel to communicate with the driver though drivers like me sometimes don't really like this mood of communication because you don't expect me to be replying you while driving to you... So take a look at your riders app to see if the driver is moving towards your direction if after sending 2 messages and he didn't reply or read it then put a call through and try to be polite when he picks. 2 Likes |

Nezzjnr: The wind comes into mind with the plantain. I lost over 300k to plantain farming many years back... It require more attention than cassava especially when it starts getting matured... Farm theft is a major concern also you can't sell entire farm like you will with the cassava... Cassava is just so simple for me abeg but watermelon and cucums can make people think you use your mama for money ritual if properly done. 1 Like |

pappy4real: Divers like me will never want to partner with a prospective partners like this because it looks like a trap and problem ahead Don't go into a business because you're having financial challenges, simply sell the car outrightly instead of relying on 50k that may not be enough to solve your financial needs or put the car in good shape for the driver to work wifh productively and effectively. You may end up using that upfront payment to solve problem when it enters your hands and from there problem start btw u and the driver. This is not a tokunbo car by the way so what makes you think 50k will make it uber standard? No it wont. Even direct tok need a minimum of 150k to bring it up to standard let alone a 9ja used. Best option is outright sale. Save yourself some stress. 4 Likes |

Thanks to everyone on this thread I really appreciate your kindness, yes waited for the rider for more than 2 hours but at the end I don't think I'll ever do that again, she came out and changed the destination and we left at the end of the rip her fare was 6,300 and tipped with 3000 which was very annoying cos I could not do more than one trip afterwards I was coming to mainland Uber refused to let me set destination and all the trip I was getting within lekki which I can't take cos of it's was around 9:30 already and I need to get off the road b4 12am to avoid police wahala so I had to come all the way from ologolo to abule egba empty but I thank God with her 3k tip I was able to net 17k bought fuel of 4k, I opened the app around 10am and got home 11pm. I know I can be better. Thanks to you all for your love may God bless our hustle. 15 Likes 1 Share |

yusufdayo1: My brother you won't get enough reviews about this car in nigeria even when you find somebody that uses it they'll still not give you a comprehensive review enough fof you to make a decision so best is make your research and take your decision base on your research. It took me over 3months doing research on my recent choice of car after considering 3 brands (Volvo, hybrid and MB). the mercedes give a better review. More durable, more prestigious, cheaper to acquire with cheaper parts than the Corolla and most interestingly it's parts are original because Germany do not have China made parts they produce their parts and cars themselves. Most of their export vehicles are made in South Africa and not a third party production they supervise and produce themselves, same technology same everything and the SA made and German made are better than those made in America even. Only thing is that America specs are more fancy in the interior but the German and SA made are better off. The only thing is cost of labour can be very pricy reason being that they know they won't be seeing you in the next 10-12months after the fix. So think your decision through very well b4 you make it. 4 Likes |

Johnnybegood12: I think your quote and response applies more to you than the rider. Fact that he wrote oga doesn't mean he implied that he's your superior. It's our manner of speaking. How many times have you called your contemporary bros or boss? It's how we converse informally which could also be interpreted as a form of camaraderie. It's an insecurity problem that makes you so quickly interprete something so simple to be a slight on your person. 4 Likes |

First trip, got a request from Silverland Estate sangotedo going to phase one. A guy called and asked if I was coming I said yes. Go there and informed him that I'm around. Opened telegram and was busy reading gist from ABP guys (una sabi una sef). I heard a female voice and I looked up to see whats up, she was standing by the driver door. Rider: I've been waving at you since, I'm the one you are picking. You just made me walk down here. Me: Sorry. Good morning (in my mind I said e fit be say na trouble be this one oo) Rider: silent hiss and she muttered some words that I couldn't make a meaning of. She opened the back door and sat directly behind me. Next thing she said "increase the AC" AC that wasn't ON . I said a quick prayer and started trip. Few metres before Thera Annex gate, I heard her voice: Rider: Do you have a polo, or a jacket? Me: Are you talking to me? R: Yes. Me: No (me thinking, wetin you need am for, no be you say make I increase AC just now, AC was on LO.) R: No clothes at all even a handkerchief? Me: There's handkerchief. R: pls give me, I want to use it to cover my breast. Me: Okay. ***hands my handkerchief to her I tried to put on the radio, she said she doesn't want it that she wants to sleep, thats fine by me because I also Don't want it. The guy that booked, only put lekki phase 1, no street or house address. So I asked her what her address is before she sleeps off. She said I should take her to any ATM point in phase one then she'd tell me her address when she's done withdrawing. Got to Zenith bank, off freedom way. Woke her to inform her, she said its too open I should go somewhere else. Moved to forte oil ATM and asked if she's okay with it... No response, I looked back, shes slept off, me still driving asked again if she wants UBA , no response. I was now thinking where I go carry this girl go like this, I just zoomed off to Access bank after Admiralty round about. I woke her up after parking, with a sleepy eyes she said yes this is better. In my mind I said make I even see wetin this girl they hide because I didn't look at her when she was entering the vehicle. Lo and behold, na only nipple the girl dress cover. See my handkerchief resting with all authority on her on her bre*st. I come they wonder say shey I go still fit use this handkerchief like this, if I use this one clean face make I no go they see another thing When she came back into the car, I asked for address, she said goto that yakoyo side, there's a street called something something Disu, take me there. And like a programmed robot, she slept off. I'm familiar with the address, took her there, she paid and went away with my handkerchief without offering to give it back 10 Likes |

Felicity001:You will surely die a fraudster. Defrauding anyone isn't smart. That's why you have series of problems that will never go away. You defraud people. And you think of how to defraud people. It's why you will do 363 trips and still end up with peanuts because you are cursed. With all your smartness you think you have in driving, cassava farming bought you a car. Going on the trip after agreeing in principle, and then reporting her for you to be refunded, and she getting blocked for paying you less is FRAUD, you fucktard_. I cancelled and told her to get down. I did not, and will never defraud anyone. If anybody young or old tries it again, I'll still tell them to get the fuck_ out, and cancel the trip. I'm not emotional, and I'm not sentimental. If I had the chance to go back to yesterday, I'll do it again. I'm not a hypocrite, I'm not a fraudster. But I'll never ever be shortchanged by anyone not family... Ever. Cry all you want, dimwitted MFker. I stand on what I did, all day everyday. Nothing you say will change that...
