You are the one misinterpreting it.
Sir here are the verses explain how I misinterpreted
19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed. 21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.

It's clear that the son saw the father doing stuff and he was following the example

Hahahaha

Relax and understand.

Son doesn't mean "Son" like a woman giving birth to your child. You are taking it too literally.

Son, here refers to God's word. God is spirit. His words are living and they are life, not like ours. He spoke His words and everything came into existence. Jesus is that word.

So in essence, Jesus is the word of God. Jesus is the son of God.

You are thinking like one without the holy spirit dude

Of cos i don't have the holy spirit in me.

If God's word is His son, the all the words he said should be living by now. The logos you're trying to depict is the creative force of God. This is not Jesus.

And God is not a spirit.

Now listen.
When we read things we also need to ask questions.
During Jesus time, the Jews have a belief which happens to be "there is only one God". Did you think Jesus will announce who he was to them? That would have been sacrilege! Their beliefs must remain intact.

From your verses, Jesus is clearly letting us know the relationship he has with the father. It's a symbiotic one. He is one with the father, hence whatever he does also applied to him.

Have you wondered why the prophets of old start preaching by saying "the Lord says", or "thus says the Lord".

But did Jesus ever said that? Did he ever start talking with those words?no. Instead he says "I am" I AM. Does that tell you anything?

When Moses was in the burning bush, what did God say his name was

I AM THAT I AM

You just don't get it. The Bible contains God's word and they are living. Please stop confusing yourself.

This is the appeal to Jesus's miracles.

Adam has no parents. Eve was created from Adam and Jesus had only a mother. All of them were creations of Allah.

And many Prophets did miracles before Jesus and even false prophets dey do! That doesn't prove anything special.

And truly Jesus will come again but what he's coming to do is where we differ.

Open your mind and listen.....

Jesus was only trying to show you the way to salvation in John 5:19. Assuming you have a baby child growing up, is it not your footsteps the baby will follow? Assuming you went and learned a trade in kano and opened a shop afterwards in Lagos, who's footsteps did you follow on the trade? Your master. So my dear, Jesus being our Father, who died for us to be save from everything and anything, is only telling you to imitate him in everything you do. Remember that he has giving you power, dominion over all, with out any exception. So you only need to believe and activate what you already have. Remember you must have FAITH to see God in action. SHALOM

John 5.19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom.

My question is, from these verses, can we imply that the father onces suffered and died for sin?
Jess Christmas says, everything he did, he first saw his father do it.

Let me chip in my own understanding. The verses you quoted are simply showing the unity of mind between God and Jesus while he was on earth. Every "work" Jesus did on earth was based on instruction/approval/insight/revelation from God his father. That is why he expressly stated "I and my Father are ONE".

It is about Father and son sharing the same purpose of mind but the info flows from the father to the son which is why he referenced his father doing the works first in the spiritual realm.

But to say God had also died first somewhere is a misinterpretation of those verses. There was a separation between God and Jesus on the cross when he cried my father why have you forsaken me, meaning he was left alone to carry the burden cos at that point he had become sin which the father could not connect to again (a verse says he was made sin). At that point, Jesus was in uncharted territory which is why he was elevated back to God's side upon his resurrection for achieving something so difficult.

God the father coexist with God the son and God the holy spirit.

These three exist as one. (It's not in human level of understanding)

You are asking what was it that Jesus saw his father do? Why do you want to know? How does that affect anything?

And for your information, Jesus uses the father to explain his teachings because God the father sent him. He is God the son. Both are inseparable.

His taught based on human level of reasoning.

If we are to deduce, it means Jesus can do what God the Father can do, such as restore life to our dead bodies, he can create any form of Life from nothing, he has absolute control over the elements or the Universe itself.

Since during creation, Jesus was there with God the Father, and he was part of creating everything. He was there during its design and during the plan for creation. He saw everything, or he created.

So any kind of task that only God can do can be given to Jesus by the father, Jesus can do that task because it will be shown to him and is assigned to him and Jesus is also God ( now I think i am going beyond my limits, cheesy cheesy)
