Thanks to everyone on this thread I really appreciate your kindness, yes waited for the rider for more than 2 hours but at the end I don't think I'll ever do that again, she came out and changed the destination and we left at the end of the rip her fare was 6,300 and tipped with 3000 which was very annoying cos I could not do more than one trip afterwards I was coming to mainland Uber refused to let me set destination and all the trip I was getting within lekki which I can't take cos of it's was around 9:30 already and I need to get off the road b4 12am to avoid police wahala so I had to come all the way from ologolo to abule egba empty but I thank God with her 3k tip I was able to net 17k bought fuel of 4k, I opened the app around 10am and got home 11pm. I know I can be better. Thanks to you all for your love may God bless our hustle.

But you could have as well used Indriver to get a trip home instead blowing empty.

You said you have to do 25 trips for you to miss/cancel two trips.

If I can do 25 trips then I can miss/cancel up to 5 trips without losing out on my bonus. My completion rate will still be in line and I just need to manipulate the acceptance.

Omo u dey confuse me o.

At the bolded Maybe that was when cancellation rate threshold was on 80% and 75% Not now again that it is 90% and 85% if u doubt it try it today or tomorrow.
Skip 5trips and say goodbye to any Bolt bonus.

If u miss 5trips u must receive 50 trips and accept 45 to still remain on 90% acceptance rate.
Then Completion Rate is a bit tricky I don't really know how they calculate it. they still factor trips that u missed including the ones u cancel without waiting for 3mins, but out of these 45 trips that u have accepted to maintain 85% u must complete minimum 38 of them. Oya tell me who can complete 38trips in a day.

That's what indriver turned me to my brother, once you call they they deduct their commission so I wait for riders to call first. Most times riders call before I even move 100m

U call or rider calls, u cancel or rider cancels, They will deduct their commission first as soon as u pick price and time and rider accepts ur proposal.
Whether they will refund the money deducted now depends on circumstances surrounding the cancellation/termination of the trip.

Even though that transaction was profitable if u ask me, but don't do that next time.
She could have come out and ask u to end trip that she has changed her mind or given u 1k or no tip at all. 2hrs is way too much to wait for a Rider.

So can you tell Bolt that you cancelled the trip due to a riders low rating, please is it a valid reason, and will Bolt accept such?

Yeah ive done that before stating low rider's rating, don't wish to serve this rider.

That's where you're missing it na.

On this particular Sunday I'm referencing, I deliberately missed three trips and cancelled one out of anger. That makes it 4 trips missed/cancelled.

I still finished with 86% completion rate. I also only completed 25 trips out of 40 received.

So even if I had missed or cancelled one more trip, I don't see myself having to do 38 trips to have an 85% completion

Abeg, why is it that when you have a rider and tag alongs, na the tag alongs de always complain and not the person paying for the ride. Na dem go ask oga why are you passing here, why are you driving like this, why is the fare so and so when road was free, was there surge??

So this lady requested for her husband, he comes out, sits in front and tells me to wait someone else is joining us. Ok.
Two other men join. Isaac John to 1004, map says turn left at Maryland-ojota-alapere... Maryland-Anthony-Gbagada is 7 minutes slower. I go with the map.

Dudes at the back start grumbling in Yoruba about the route, long journey bla bla bla. Talmbout the trick drivers use, taking the longer route to inflate the fare. We get to obalende, dem de direct up and down, pass here, press horn, you no get horn? (I only use my horn when I absolutely have to). All through I and the owner of the trip don't utter a word till they got off at obalende. That's when the man spoke, talked about how people behave, selfish and all. Na so we gist till 1004, told him I enjoyed talking and he said he wished we meet again, dropped small change.

Now I could easily have responded to those guys, but to what end. As far as contracts go, I had no business with them and their opinions, thoughts and utterances meant absolutely nothing to me.
They probably thought because they were speaking Yoruba I didn't know what they were saying but I understood everything and was tempted to respond in their language.
I always find it foolish when people assume the driver doesn't understand the language, especially Yoruba... Inside Lagos??

Smile... I love your approach keep it up.

As for the language thing, its a general behaviour every tribe as apart from Deltians and Rivers people. You will even get frustrated when you find yourself in tje Eastern part of the country... So I'm use to it already.

At some point when I was driving with uber I used the "deaf and dumb notification on the app when I saw a rider with a very bad rating. She didn't even utter a word till trip endedgrin

No bro it's not the compressor..most AC technicians will tell u it is...in my case, they changed the thermostat and it works perfectly now.
Thermostat? Was your car overheating as well? Cos I thought thermostat only malfunctions when it refuses to open up leading to overheating which can affect AC efficiency. Anyway, please, can I have your tech's contact and location? Thanks for your reply.

This is another lapses of the bonus. It is better to cancel the subsequent bonus than revoking the whole bonus. After taking the car to Lambe and Orchid road just to earn the bonus, and by evening, you decided not to go to Itamaga, and fiam, bonus is revoked. It is better to ignore the bonuses and concentrate on very good trips.
@Baz001, grin. please can you tag your car with your name for just a day, may be I will see you somewhere.

This week is the most profitable since i have been driving on bolt for almost a year now, you cant guess the figure, i would be taking 2 days off, i worked 7 days without rest, got at least a minimum of 6k on all bolt campaigns, the campaigns really was a morale booster for me, dont stop pushing yourself, also, take your health seriously, no need posting dashboard, making most people's salary is easy on this job, so long as you dont disobey traffic rules, and you maintain your car well.... Congratulations feli, a bottle of trophy is okay to celebrate the Mb... Cheers to a more fruitful week ahead, always remember, "Disobeying traffic rules comes with a stiff penalty"...

Different strategies, similar results.

Today have only done 10. Number 10 was from my neighbor in the same block of flats. I had gone home to rest and eat, and no sooner had I gone online that a 1.4x came in. Slid arriving now and dashed outside, called her, turned the car and waited for her. She entered car, we exchanged pleasantries, dropped her off. Transaction ended. No time for familiarity. I don't know her, neither does she. Business is business.

Lolz...u r assuming...a trial will convince u.
And doing 25 trips in a day is a rare occurrence. U didn't make it happen.
Normally I will kiss my bonus goodbye if I miss 3trips for a daily bonus. Except that time of weekend or all week bonus
