If you hear that fuel is going to become scarce and you need your car for something important, like travel to your village, what do you do? Most reasonable people will fill their tanks and wait till fuel becomes available again.

If you hear that IKDC will take the light throughout the weekend, I think you will charge your phones, power banks, converters now, and even fuel your generators in case it is prolonged?

If you hear that Corona virus is spreading fast and that the cure is chloroquine tablets, you will want to buy for your whole village to become the saviour in that situation.

In all the scenarios above, the filling station, IKDC or the pharmacy will not lose money because you bought in bulk, they will even make more profit as volumes increase.

If you hear that a responsible world wide organisation like IPOB is planning a sit at home protest every Monday, you want to buy your foodstuff, clothing, movies and everything you need for a peaceful rest on Saturday and Sunday.

IPOB is smart, they have seen that the extra effort Igbos are putting to sustain Nigeria is not being rewarded, so it's better people rest more, hoping to reduce their overspending and over stress.

For every Monday you stay at home, you find more reasons to work smarter and sell better. You can sell more goods sitting at home, collecting your money via transfers and then loading the stock on Tuesday till Saturday.

For those selling on the roadside, you can use mondays to be preparation time at home, wash, clean your products and research on better strategies on Monday, then use Tuesday to Saturday to unload your moves into the market, it's a new era of trading, trade well and reap your profits.

The real losers are the jobless policemen and other armed security forces standing at every junction collecting bribes, you go stand tire!, eating where they didn't sow, you will not see us on Monday, sorry.

Will u shut ur dirty mouth. Is it the vegetable and tomato sellers you’re telling to research on better strategies?

Some of u igbos honestly lack simple human reasoning.
A friend told me on phone that those farmers who sell vegetables, tomatoes and pepper all decided to come sell their wares around d market in Awka last Friday sit at home had to pay 1k each to touts of different groups who decided to take advantage of the sellers.
Your already poor eastern economy is going down...businesses are beginning to fold up. I pity leeches states like Imo,ebonyi and some parts of Abia that have nothing going on for them at this time. Anambra is a bit better.

Long before, Igbo leaders have been encouraging our successful sons
and daughter to bring their business home, Aku rue uno philosophy
(bring your wealth home) they called it.
It is a known fact that if you go to Agbara and Ota manufacturing
zone, after Indians and Lebanese, the next demography that has their
factories located in those manufacturing clusters are Igbo billionaires.
From Comet star and wire cable to Beloxxi biscuit and then J and B
wire and cable, you have hundreds of successful Igbo billionaires that
built their factories in these 2 manufacturing clusters.
On the other hand, many Igbo industrialists hearkened to this Aku ruo
uno plea and campaign by Igbo elites and leadership by taking their
investment home, if not for anything, they took their investment
home to create jobs for our teeming young people, stimulate the local
economy and contribute to the growth of Southeast GDP.
IPOB with its draconian sit at home is now making some of these
industrialists that brought their investment home regret that decision,
some of them are thinking twice why they did not join their peers in
citing their business in Agbara/Ota which as it were is more
conducive and safer to establish and run a business than the whole 5
eastern states combined.
It is very easy for IPOB who have not run or built any business in
their life to declare sit at home, just like they did when Buhari came to Owerri but what they did not know is that
businesses are haemorrhaging and bleeding because of this not so
well-thought policy.
Three days ago, in Lagos, I was with a big Industrialist that has a
factory in the east, he was complaining bitterly about what IPOB is
doing to his investment, he told me that IPOB wants to shut his
business down by this their Sit at home thing.
Already, his business lost 40 per cent profit last month August
because of the Monday sit at home, he showed me their audited
account to buttress what he was saying and now that IPOB has
increased the sit at home from once in a week to twice in a week, I
can only but feel for him and other industrialists that have their
factories in the east because they are bleeding and losing money.
Nigeria macroeconomy climate is already tough under Buhari, from the
scarcity of forex to inconsistency in Government economic policies and
then lack of direction by Buhari and his economic team, entrepreneurs
and industrialists are weathering all these, then you add the self-
inflicted damage that IPOB is doing to our people and their business.
I just finished speaking with another friend who is an Industrialist on
the phone and who has his factory in Anambra state, man is tired,
already planning to move his business from Anambra to Agbara in
Ogun state by next year. He told me he will be going to Ogun state
tomorrow to inspect the land that he wants to locate his factory so
that once he pays for the land, work can commence on the site
immediately.
At the end of the day, who is losing?
Buhari that care less about the fate of an average Igbo man, a
clueless president that has lost his home state Katsina to Fulani
bandits or the local economy in Igbo land that is bleeding because it
is losing billions of naira daily whenever Igbos living in the east are
forced to sit at home?
We are making ourselves poorer and if this madness of using violence
to compel enterprising Igbos to sit at home continues, expect to see
more capital flight of wealth and businesses out of Igbo land.
You don't need to hurt your people and their business before you
pass a message to Buhari but IPOB seems not to understand this.
I wish them all the best in their self-destructive mission.
all this nonsense talk an long episode undecided undecided is for who

Shhh...

If most Igbo people are to voluntarily choose (Emphasis on Voluntary) between meaningless staying at home for a dumb reason and going about their livelihoods, we both know the one they will choose.

Ipob knows this too, that's why you thugs continue to use violence to enforce it.

Those who are still serving their oga in the market shops have nothing to lose. They see it as a time to rest. That's why easily supporting the sit at home.

Some body must get lose before things gets better in nigeria, sit at home is supposed to be a protest, protests are supposed to benefit people. They might think they are enjoying but one day it will hit them hard when they cannot leave their houses because of boko haram and herdsmen.
