Landing gist!!! Canada sweet nor be small.
I got to to the airport at about 4:45pm on the 10th of September. I tipped the security at the entrance to allow my husband and cousin in, the guy was just forming activity. When I got in, I was directed to NDLEA to check for drugs, that one too asked for tip. After there, the agricultural people sighted me and asked me to head to their counter because I had one bag of food. What I noticed is that if I wasn’t carrying a Ghana must go back, he wouldn’t have approached me. I paid 2k for the bag.
Then I moved on to the check in queue, mehn see crowd. British airways was fully booked. People traveling to the Uk for school as well were there on that day, I wished I had taken another airline. I stood for 4hrs before it got to my turn. Weighed my bags, everything was under the required weight though I had an extra bag which I paid $210 for. Note; please arrive early on the day of travel, else you stand a chance of missing your flight.
I was asked to show my Covid test, ArriveCAN, enrolment letter, passenger locator form(for BA passengers). Then I waited to get approval from Canada before I was allowed to fly. Approval came about 20mins later. I parted ways with my family, it was so hard leaving them behind especially the girls. Premium tears flowed but this is for the greater good.
Got to immigration and I was asked to go on the fast track because I gave the guy 1k. Went on to board my flight and we took off like 30 mins later. I slept most of the time as it was a night flight. Food wasn’t good at all, biko which one is over cooked garden egg and cheese? Landed in Heathrow, waited for another 8hrs before leaving for Toronto. This time, the food was better, it was rice and chicken something something(forgot the name, hunger dey catch me).
We landed after 7hrs 55mins. We weren’t allowed to get down because the crowd at the airport was much. Long story short, because of the queue, they took all our passports from us and printed our permits without questions.
No tests, nothing for me. Fully vaccinated. Just finished my second class for today. May the land of Canada favour me.
I wish everyone awaiting PPR all the best, you shall all experience this joy. You can reach out to me if you have any questions.
P.S I am chilling in my apartment, so much food from friends and family. Chai, this life sweet. 72 Likes 2 Shares |

Hi all Your experienced input is required. Thanks in anticipation for your response.
I have a Bsc in Biochemistry 3.68/5-2014 Masters in Env Mgt (course based) 4.51/5 -2019 Worked as an administrative asst/customer service 4rm 2017-2020 Currently working as a production chemist (grad trainee) since feb 2021
No publications only final year research
I plan on trying study route gal 2022 these are my considerations.
1. Thesis based MSc in Env chemistry/bio assessment and monitoring claiming research/thesis is my reason for a repeated masters as It will enable me to proceed for PhD 2. PhD but with no In-depth research experience, no publications and a course based Masters etc feel my chances are slim
3.Pgd/pgc in chemistry technician claiming career progression and knowledge gap since I currently work in the laboratory as a chemist.
Please advice on the most effective path that will secure me Visa.

makano: Hello Feyi
Sorry for your refusal...
Nobody is in charge this week, different applications are attended to by different VISA OFFICERS... There may be lenient Visa officers and also strict Visa Officers... So also we have Junior Visa Officers and Senior Officers..
As applications rows in, they are automatically assigned to different Visa Officers across the IRCC canters, that is why same Visa Officer can't attend to your application and that of your Twin Sis..
We have seen many applicants here saying they didn't put in a tight application and they still got approval, while some claim they put in a Tight application and still got refused, all these depends on the Visa Officers that attended to these applications..
One prayer every Applicant should pray before submitting their application is that, as you are about to submit that God should make your application go to the right Visa Officer that will favour you and not the one that will delay you...
Order for your GCMS notes, once you have it, drop it here so I can guide you or any member of this thread...
Piece
Thanks please can I have your contact

Anon44: Congratulations Debbzjay!!!
Please your brother who served your sponsor, what documents did you submit for him and like how much was his bank balance.
I'm trying to do same but my brother's personal account bank balance is N1M with a lot of transactions while his 2 company accounts, he has N12m all together.
Congratulations again.
Thank you. I submitted his CAC documents, sponsorship letter, International passport and family pictures. He sent me the money (10m) so I didn't focus on his account statement though he generated MBS which the bank only gave him the ticket number without the password so he typed the ticket number in his sponsorship letter plus he didn't have up to 12m in his accounts 1 Like |

Congratsss TheLee: PPR alert.
My brother got his PPR. I’ve been following since the last thread. Happy to testify on this thread.
May 14 applicant Upfront medical and biometrics in May. We submitted all documents we could think of. I’m his sponsor while he’s covering his logistics. A year bank statement from me (USD $24000), his 5 months bank statement. A letter of reference from a superior, statement of purpose, birth certificate, school certificates, proof of both our employments and that’s about it.
-We sent a couple of webforms and also his tuition receipt over time. We just decided to start hounding them every other day when we got approved today.
Thank you to everyone who has shared and kept our hopes up through this journey. Wishing everyone waiting the best and the strength to hold on even when it’s exhausting. Congratulations to every PPR receivers today. It’s upward from this point. Amen. |
