Good evening to you all, as a digital marketer, I have been running a SEO and promotional campaign for a certain site and the traffic has been impressive. Initially the CPC was improving per the traffic but all of a sudden, the CPC relapsed even though the traffic is still high.

Some days, traffic could be more than 3k but the CPC shows 0.07. To make matters worse, it may go up and return again.

Gurus in the house, what could be the cause for this?

To some extent, I'm grounded on digital marketing and especially SEO but I seem to be lost here.

I believe where my knowledge stops, that is where another person's own starts, thus bringing it here.

Hello brother, we are in this problem togther, C.P.C most times i get 0.03 as against 0.10, 0.15 in March, April, May.

I think it is general, except you are gwttimg traffic from first tire countries like, US, UK, Canda, etc.

My suggestion

Buy facebook page, promote your content to first tire countries I mentioned above.

What ads Type do you use
Keywords targeting

From your prior earnings, it's not wrong to say that you're in a good niche

but a lot of reasons could be the cause.

Try blocking some advertisers and experiment with your ads

If that doesn't work, consider moving to Ezoic?

So it's keywords ads... The targeted keywords are Job, Employment, Education grants and loans, scholarship

Reduce the number of ads units bro, only place 2 display ads in-between ur post where it will be visible to ur audience. Try this for a week and let's observe the changes

Digiprof, Adsense is slave labor if most of your audience comes from Africa. I suggest that you buy a social media ad and target a top-tier country.

Another suggestion I have is for you to place ads in between paragraphs because ads placed up and below hardly get clicks.

Then, above all, I advise you to create more SEO-compliant and rich content. Google is using more of high-level AI that prioritizes the quality of content above everything else these days. If you need help in this regard, you can get across to us. Thanks.

I'm not an expert here at all but I feel there might be something wrong the the Quality of Traffic.

There quantity (numbers) might be high, what about the quality? Is it possible for traffic to be fake, the users not being active?

I am similar issues. I think it has to be the targeted countries you know NG is part of the lowest-rated country in terms of earning. Try and run the ads in the top tier countries and see the difference.

You have done your assignment deeply to be able to earn 3k traffic per day. However, the reason why your CPC is extremely low is nothing but the traffic source and the number of ads on your page. Using auto ads will increase the number of ads on the site and thus reduce CPC. If your traffic is from Africa or Asian countries your CPC will definitely be low.

To improve it, target traffic from the top tie country such as USA, UK, Canada, Australia.

From personal experience:

Your niche and traffic source matter.

Your KEYWORD matters.
You need to know the type of articles you're writing, and convert the ones bringing traffic to your site, to higher CPC keywords.

But your general niche is the issue here. If you had shared your site/keyword, it would be easier to help you. No magician can help you increase your CPC except they know your site.

I'm a Nigerian, and I've seen friends with RPM as high as $25.

The thing is, advertisers bid higher base on location, conversion, etc.

That is to say, if a Tesla ad is showing on your site and your traffic is not from tier 1 countries, your CPC is likely to low.

Example, how many people will see an advert of Tesla cars in Nigeria and click to buy?.

If the advertisers are getting conversion on a particular geographical, your CPC is likely to be high...

All in all, target good keyword with high CPC. Since you said you are an SEO expert you can easily do that and rank.

What exactly is your complaint?
Are you complaining about getting low CPC from your ads or this post is about your AdSense earnings?

The geographic location of your users matters a lot. Tier-3 traffic usually results in low revenue.
I would advise you to implement interstitial ads. Interstitials usually perform well compared to normal display ads.
