Reasons Behind Super Eagles' Amazing Performance At World Cup Qualifiers AdemetanAbayomi Super Eagles' results at the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers isn't a surprise to their die hard supporters. They have won their first two games and scored four goals in the process. That’l's an average of over two goals per game. Nigeria being top is not a shock either, they have established themselves as one of the best teams behind Algeria in Africa. What has been a revelation is how Super Eagles have gone about their excellent run in Group C. They have transformed to free-flowing, counter-attacking and dominant side under Gernot Rohr. Players like William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Kenneth Omeruo, Ola Aina, Jamilu Collins and Shehu Abdullahi are not household names, but excellent building blocks. Rohr's 4-2-3-1 has been used to solidify their position. It hasn't always attractive, but effective. With Balogun, Semi Ajayi and Omeruo, they have experience and strength. Kelechi Iheanacho is Nigeria's World Cup Qualification topscorer with two goals, followed by Victor Osimhen who has one. Rohr has worked hard to regain the defensive strength of the Super Eagles. Each player knows his role and where he needs to be. Playing 4-4-2 also suits all Rohr's options. Osimhen works hard for the team, is excellent at holding the ball up and can finish. Moses Simon and Alex Iwobi play wide and love to cut inside, this gives space for Aina and Collins space to bomb forward from full-back. Wilfred Ndidi, a former right-back, loves to attack too, so you can have at least seven players willing to carry the counter-attack, that's too many options to try and stop when they are all in-sync. Eagles have become the perfect blend of defensive solidity with a desire to attack. They have the movement and intelligence to play the possession game and keep the ball, but against bigger and supposedly, better teams, they will look to hit on the break. One strength they have that many African teams don't, is options off the bench. Paul Onuachu, Terem Moffi, Ahmed Musa, Chidera Ejuke and Henry Onyekuru are capable players. With the spirit and organisation that Rohr and the Eagles team have built, there’s no limit in what this group could achieve at the World Cup Qualifiers. 8 Likes 1 Share |

MetalJigsaw: Hey! Hey! Don't forget we could easily have played a draw against Cape Verde if not for that own goal. For me, I am still not pleased with their level of play especially considering the quality in that team. Not also ruling out the adverse effects of the quality of pitches in both games. They really need to build up their performance going into the final and round of qualifiers. |

Icon4s: Whether own goal or not, rohr wouldn't have drawn that match... Rohr don't draw against Africa's small small boys in qualifiers away. Sierra Leone were psyched up after their 4-4 draw ...any how any how mistake will make them Sha commit a penalty offence or even they will score themselves...so baba them try 2 Likes 1 Share |

Ivorian Sebastian Haller scored 4 goals in the UCL last night. Surprised Chriskels didn't rush here to post it Just shows how going to a place where you will get playing time will invigorate you. Hope Iheanacho is watching and learns before Rodgers sends him back to the drill days. 7 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: The role of good Home-based professionals in our National teams cannot be overemphasized. Their doggedness and never-Say-die attitudes towards matches are a delight to see. Before the introduction of Monday Gift yesterday the Falcons were uninteresting to watch whenever they are in the final third. The midfielders struggled a lot, unlike the defense that stood like the rock of Gibraltar. The attackers may harp on the excuse that they were not adequately fed by the attackers but they made a mess of the few chances and half chances they got. I can not say if it is due to jetlag or fatigue from playing many matches. However, I must commend them for grinding out a good result. We move... |

PROVERBZ: from VI to either mainland, or Leaking, starting from tollgate, the width of each lane at the tollgate which comprised of 5-6 lane each, should be the Idea model of all Lagos roads, not this senseless 2 way lane, then you come and add another lane for BRT buses, that's useless and wasting of resource |

Glasgow Celtic center back Osaze Urhoghide has revealed that he would be honoured to play international football for three-time African champions Nigeria. He was born in the Netherlands to Nigerian parents twenty one years ago and is also eligible for England having lived in the country for roughly fifteen years. Of all the countries Urhoghide qualifies to represent, the Nigeria Football Federation have made the first step to cap him by inviting him to a Nigeria U23 training camp before the U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya in 2019. In a question and answer session with his fans, the center half was asked if he would play for Nigeria and he replied : "Personally it would be an honour to play for Nigeria. International football is something that I'm working towards and hopefully in the near future I can play for them. "I've got some options Nigeria, Netherlands, England as well so there are some options so I'm working towards that. "It is one of my goals as well so hopefully in the near future I'll achieve it." Urhoghide admits to being a boyhood Chelsea fan because his Nigerian father supports the Stamford Bridge outfit. "Growing up I've always supported Chelsea. I lived in West London, my dad supports Chelsea. "I'm not sure why I chose to pick Chelsea but probably because my dad supported them but the teams I've stayed with as well, supported them being with the highs and lows but it's always been Chelsea" Since his celebrated move to Celtic from Sheffield Wednesday in the summer transfer window, Urhoghide has made one competitive appearance for the Hoops and it was for their B team in a SPFL Trust Trophy clash against Morton on September 4. |

Here is a short but intensive video I just posted where I revealed the ULTIMATE STRATEGY TO BET AND WIN WITH BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE PREDICTIONS You will be surprised at how just this simple strategy i talked about in this video will sky rocket your winnings Click here to check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIt-_btKHCA |
