Let me jump on the trend, too! I decided to make a light dinner after today’s hustle.

I live, cook, and eat alone. See what I got for 950 naira at the market that was closest to where I was this evening.

Veggies - 300
Eggs (5) - 250
Plantain - 400
That's a good deal. Very cheap
Fair?

This has alway been the crux of my argument on Dollar/Naira exchange rate.
There is no way you can get such at $2.00 in the US. Those stuffs you see there can not be less $10.00 which is like N5,200.00 in Nigeria at an exchange rate of N520/$1.00
Value of currency is supposed to measure in term of the basket of goods it can purchase.

Brother you can’t compare standard of living in US with Nigeria.

Do you know what minimum wage is in US?

You can't compare U.S with Nigeria
There's wide disparity in standard of living and Economy of the two nations.
Purchasing power isn't same so cost of goods cannot be same in each case

Thank God you said “supposed”

In reality, it is measured in trade power on the global scale, standard of living in the said country, salary/ wages, economic viability.

You want to sell plantain 5,000 in a country where minimum wage is 18,000 p/m
well said
