benalvino3: I guess you can't separate an opinion from what prevails, but let me confuse you some more. I'd prefer no abortions take place at all, that men and women carefully consider the implications of getting pregnant. I'd go further and insist they must be tested for competence to rear a child just like one would be tested before getting a driver's licence, and if you fail, resit in 3 years. The law however has not gotten that far, and its likely unenforceable as China's difficulty in policing its one child law has shown, and also detrimental to societal demographics as China has also shown. For now though, no way would I be letting your sort tell me what I do with the content of my womb. It's my body my choice. Make sure you recognise how I intend to oppose what I prefer. No woman in her right senses would carry a pregnancy to 9 months minus one day and then abort ben, except in your warped mind where you think women don't have brains. In UK, health services, who'd be monitoring you and your unborn babies health, would recognise you are unstable and do the needful which includes counselling you, advising you, assisting you, and if all that don't work, sectioning you whereby the content of your womb will be placed in protective custody. A woman who aborts at 9 months minus one day without a valid professional healthcare agreed reason would end up in prison likely for foeticide in UK at least, and a father who disagrees with her action would likely sue her too. The fact its rare shows women aren't as stupid as you are. 2 Likes

budaatum: You wey go school, use Google, it's not hard to verify. Most women getting abortions (83%) are unmarried; 67% have never married, and 16% are separated, divorced, or widowed . Married women are significantly less likely than unmarried women to resolve unintended pregnancies through abortion 2 Likes 1 Share |

Goodvibes007: Do the Google search yourself. My claim is 85% of the people doing abortion is unmarried. You can use that to search it and see for yourself. I have provided the pdf for budaatum. Budaatum saying the source contradicts my other claim blindly and you follow him on that blind assertion does not concern me. My claim was significantly more women who tend to go for abortion are not married. Backs what I have been saying that couples can do more of controlling birth even if there is pregnancy, most times it does not lead to abortion. |

For the next 45 years — not including the two years I was away in the Air Force — I was a practicing OB/GYN in Texas, conducting Pap smears, pelvic exams and pregnancy check-ups; delivering more than 10,000 babies; and providing abortion care at clinics I opened in Houston and San Antonio, and another in Oklahoma. Then, this month, everything changed. A new Texas law, known as S.B. 8, virtually banned any abortion beyond about the sixth week of pregnancy. It shut down about 80 percent of the abortion services we provide. Anyone who suspects I have violated the new law can sue me for at least $10,000. They could also sue anybody who helps a person obtain an abortion past the new limit, including, apparently, the driver who brings a patient to my clinic. For me, it is 1972 all over again. And that is why, on the morning of Sept. 6, I provided an abortion to a woman who, though still in her first trimester, was beyond the state’s new limit. I acted because I had a duty of care to this patient, as I do for all patients, and because she has a fundamental right to receive this care. I fully understood that there could be legal consequences — but I wanted to make sure that Texas didn’t get away with its bid to prevent this blatantly unconstitutional law from being tested. https://wapo.st/3tQzX1M 1 Like 1 Share

I went through the link. It never said more than 85%. Another one of Ben's numerous lies. It however said 83% and NOT above that number even. However there were other intriguing information from that document. RELIGION: Women who obtain abortions represent every religious affiliation. 13% of abortion patients describe themselves as born-again or Evangelical Christians. 27% of abortion patients say they are Catholics. Summary is that 40% of those aborting identify as Christians. Hypocrites performing abortion in secret. The narrative here was that they were mostly immoral girls, clubbers, night one stand e.t.c MYTH: Women have abortions for selfish or frivolous reasons. The decision to have an abortion is rarely simple. Most women base their decision on several factors, the most common being lack of money and/or unreadiness to start or expand their families due to existing responsibilities. Many feel that the most responsible course of action is to wait until their situation is more suited to childrearing; 66% plan to have children when they are older, financially able to provide necessities for them, and/or in a supportive relationship with a partner so their children will have two parents. Others wanted to get pregnant but developed serious medical problems, learned that the fetus had severe abnormalities, or experienced some other personal crisis. About 13,000 women each year have abortions because they have become pregnant as a result of rape or incest. Common sense as they like to say on this thread. MYTH: Women are using abortion as a method of birth control. In fact, half of all women getting abortions report that contraception was used during the month they became pregnant. Some of these couples had used the method improperly; some had forgotten or neglected to use it on the particular occasion they conceived; and some had used a contraceptive that failed. No contraceptive method prevents pregnancy 100% of the time . If abortion were used as a primary method of birth control, a typical woman would have at least two or three pregnancies per year -- 30 or more during her lifetime. In fact, most women who have abortions have had no previous abortions (52%) or only one previous abortion (26%). Considering that most women are fertile for over 30 years, and that birth control is not perfect, the likelihood of having one or two unintended pregnancies is very high. This blows out the contraceptives argument out of the water which Enugurangers and wirinet have been drumming into the head of the little boys on this thread. You can always tell when Men are arguing with kids LMAO. 3 Likes 3 Shares |

Goodvibes007: I don't see the lie there. Some people collecting stats will give you 85% or more. You are just looking for yeye talk In 2018, unmarried women accounted for 85% of all abortions (CDC). According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, approximately 45 percent of abortions are repeat abortions. Is high. Yeah most women who have abortion are first timers but repeaters are high. 2 Likes 1 Share |
