She’s going to a community college. How many community college visa is approved? Since you want to be stupid. Go and apply to a community college and come back to share your experience.
She was 100% prepared and presented her case so well even though the school could have turned the VO off. Another VO could have frowned at it but she was so smart and gave a fight to get it. That’s why they advise all of you here… TO HAVE SENSE. Clearly, you lack it. Now do you know the reason for my statement? Receive sense and get lost this Monday morning.

Guy, forget this Mickeydude. He is just trying to take a mickey out of you.

Many guys on this forum know its a very slim chance getting a student visa for associate degree and at a community college.

Her success is just one of those unpredictabilities about US visa process.
You never know, you might just be lucky.... so give it a shot

I think I remember you, You’re slim and very young. I was on the queue and when I heard associate degree, I was telling myself they won’t give this girl, but you were so bold, vocal and so so confident that along the line I started telling myself that this girl might just get it. And you did. People at my back just said ‘wow’
Congratulations

This doesn’t sound right to me. So you dressed up to the Embassy to Point who will be given or not. Are you so jobless and purposeless?

Bro... don’t drag this issue. It’s an assessment of an interview. We all assess other people’s transcripts here and air our opinion. There are those scripts you see and you say to yourself, based on experience, “ko le work.”

Associate degree at a community college is really not a strong point for visa issuance. Put yourself in the shoes of a VO and your interviewee says he going to Okokomaiko grammar school to study. You no go think am twice before you give an visa?

You assess their interview when they bring it to you. You don’t go to the Embassy to assess people’s interview when you are not a VO to the point of hoping that the candidate’s faith relies on your assumption. If the person was denied, he/she would have screamed “I said so”. But because it went against his/her belief, he/she started saying something else…

It’s the audacity to even come here and mention those stupid thoughts. You are at the embassy to be interviewed and not to assess people.

There are thousands of people going to the US for an associate degree. It all depends on your profile. There is nothing wrong with community college if it’s a career progression and not a retrogression. Someone with a bachelors will be denied for an AS degrees.

Bro... you are getting this all twisted. Anyway let’s not derail the thread.

@ laworldz , I kind of understand the situation you narrated. We all do it. Even during project Defence at uni, you know when someone did a good job at defending a project and when it’s a terrible job.

MiamiePizza:

Just apply following the necessary steps and upload your docs. For some schools you can not apply for fundings until you admitted, for some you can only apply for fundings withing some given period (it may be October- December or May to June as the case may be), in short it just depends on the schools sha. For the school I applied to, financial aid web will be open from early next month all through to I think January (not sure I'll check again) for Fall 2022 applicants.
Don't for get to keep visiting the school website, FAQ site and search on google.
Addition, dey try add quora or nairaland to your search on google... Most of this questions have been answered here and on quora.
Thank you so much. I'll do just as you have suggested .

I really appreciate.

Another person will see her transcript and apply to a community college without being 100% prepared like that girl. She really fought hard for it. That Mickey deserves not my attention

When you’re done throwing tantrums, you’ll crawl back to your hole. I can’t help you to have common sense if comprehension is a struggle for you. This is why you people fail. Common sense to comprehend is hard for you. You’re immature with your reasoning GROW UP
And did you say thousand of people going to US for associate FROM NIGERIA? Lmaoooo! Which year. The truth bites you people.

One even replied the girls transcript and asked if she got funding lmaoooo! You people are hilarious

Again, this is not a transcript. This is someone facing the real deal after months of preparation. But an interviewee just like me will be on queue hoping that I am denied a visa because he/she thinks anyone going to the Embassy with an AS degree should be denied which is normal but then, you still came to tell me at my face that you were hoping that i was denied a visa.

What is being twisted?

Bro, tiri gbosa for you... My guy went on queue and forgot his purpose of being on queue which is to present his own case to the VO ... He thought the young girl will spend a lot of money, time and her life to get to that stage without a proper research , mock interviews and all sort of preparations ... More reason it's said all interviews are a case to case package ...

Hello gurus in the house, a friend needs your professional opinion, how does he tackle this situation, he's considering deferring to fall'22 as he doesn't have the SOA($33,000) for now to process the i-20, while at the same time waiting for other schools fall admission decisions. on a second thought Another mind is telling him to reply the mail and tell him that the Visa application will be made easier with any form of assistantship in his I-20, but I'm thinking it might come off as being too pushy, what do you you guys advice, he hasn't replied the mail since yesterday, looking for an appropriate approach.

You’ve just rolled out an epistle full of foolishness.
What’s this platform for again, you people want to hear things that’ll feed on your emotions. I’m not responsible for how you feel. That’s your business and your priority. And that’s the problem with Nigerians, you want people to sugar coat things for you. The truth bites you all and you this tantrums when your ego isn’t being massaged.
Would you rather advise someone to go for community college when you know that these consulate can be biased with their judgement.
Why do people advise applicants to go for courses related to what they’ve studied or related to their job, why can’t they say, apply for whatever course you want. I say to you again, getting a visa approval for Assiciate degree is 1% possible. Even though people have different experiences snd profiles. That’s a fact you can’t swallow and I can’t sugar coat for you dude. Another consular won’t even give her a chance to defend her choice, OR YOU DO NOT KNOW? Get over your feelings. I don’t care.

AND CONGRATULATIONS ON CHECKING OUT MY PROFILE, you can F yourself for all I care, as for my experience, come to my house for the deets lolll. And again, GET LOST.

Predstan:

When I say I know people, I didn’t know them from 10,000 miles away or from the internet. Your assumptions are coming from what you read from the internet. It is stupid and foolish to think that would apply to everyone. There are better ways to advise people against community colleges especially someone who has crossed the hurdles of admission applications into paying SeVis and Visa fee, you must know their profile and why they are doing that. Again, there are thousands of people going for an AS degree in the US and got their Visas approved for AS degree.

You are just an applicant as they are so face your own life before you start preaching the gospel to others. BTW, how was your interview, I hope it went well. If not, you have plenty of preparation to do instead of insulting anonymous people here online.

I’m happy that you are going for a PhD and I hope PhD is able to teach you manners and how to formulate your argument without insults and tantrums. Come to the US to unlearn the Nigerian stupidity that seems to be all over you.

Neither is it for you crack head who thinks because he’s in US (all thanks to the generosity and kindness of people here and the information he got here) every other person is stupid. Now return the favour to many young ones (high school graduate) especially and guide them rightly as you feel being in US makes you better than everyone else. For the last time, GET LOST.

Predstan:

The platform is not meant for Uninformed Joe who is is struggling to get their visas to tell others if they will get it or not.

Going to the Embassy to point out who gets it or not is not what the platform is meant for. Nobody is here to tell you if you will get it or not. We are here to provide information.

Bro you need to rest. You can’t just write people off or discourage people going for Associate Degree that they have very low chances of getting the visa. Most Community Colleges partners with universities which you will easily transferred to. I used to think students that go to Community colleges have low chances of getting the visa but after joining this forum, I realized that was African mentality and because we don’t have much people here going for such degree doesn’t mean people don’t go for it or they don’t the visa.

Have read so many transcripts on this forum and I can tell you that is not just your profile that matters to the VO but your Story and your God. Have seen people going for phD (full funding) and even good transcripts but still get delayed also on this forum have seen someone going for a course that doesn’t relate with what they studied in their bachelors but still got the visa. Everybody has different story and I don’t think your focus should be who get or not. Just wish people well, and they will congratulate you too. Anybody, any profile can get you a visa.
