Hello guys,

Please I urgently need an assistant from someone.

I live in Lagos and I know pre covid that you could choose to submit hardcopy visa application via VFS or ONLINE.
Please do they still do hardcopy or only online? And if they do, is online a faster way?

Thanks.

My spouse's PPR finally dropped yesterday (September 20th)! Thank God!
The only documents we submitted for him were Police clearance and passport biodata page. No CV, bank statement, Job offer letter or salary slip. We had nothing else to show, so we could only trust God and he came through. We applied for a visiting visa and not SOWP. We felt that was a better case.

For anyone with a weak profile, please stay hopeful. God can do anything! Thanks to everyone giving helpful information on this platform

Daylight23:
Good morning everyone. My PPR dropped this morning.

It appears the application had been approved already because few minutes after sending an email to the Nairobi office, the PPR dropped. Till now my Eligibility has not started, just shows final decision as approved. So sending mails may help.

Submitted Application May 17th
Upfront Medicals July 22nd
Correspondence letter and PPR August 27th

- A former colleague stood as my sponsor and gave her statement
- I included nothing showing personal assets (been out of work for over a year, so no bank statement)
- I am going for a PhD program (fully funded)
- I applied with my spouse (still awaiting his PPR)

God is able! Thank you for all the information on this page!

Please first find out if you can defer your admission to spring. For some schools if you are admitted for Winter semester you can only defer to the next winter semester.
The essence of this is to prepare in case your study permit is delayed so you can easily defer your admissions to next semester (spring).

Make sure you read all the terms and conditions as regards important deadlines and payments /refunds.

While you wait for their reply which shouldn't take more than three working days book your upfront medicals.

Take your time to craft your application to give you an edge.

Check your passport expiry date. If you need to renew it. You can also apply with your old passport and update IRCC when it has been renewed.

terryhill:
Good day gurus in the house,

I just got admission to resume the winter class (January 2022), my question is if I pay my school fees this week and start my student visa application, how long does it usually take to approve as I got just few months till Jan 2022, also if the student visa takes longer what should I do, Should I notify the school or defer the admission or write to resume the spring session?

It's been a long wait and I would like to thank every guru that helped me through this process. I would also like to thank my sister for helping me as well, because this wouldn't have been possible without her. First time applicant, normal route and no agent.

My Timeline

June 12th - Request for Biometrics
June 16th - Biometrics done and Updated
July 8th - Upfront Medicals submitted
July 9th - Medicals being reviewed
July 20th - Medicals passed
Sept 20th - PPR Dropped

All Documents Submitted;
1) Application of study permit made outside Canada (imm1294e)
2) Letter of Acceptance
3) Scanned Copy of Passport Info Page
4) Proof of Funds (which includes Letter of Explanation of Funding Support, Letter of Financial Support and Affidavit from Sponsor, Scanned Copy of Sponsors ID, Sponsorship Letter, Sponsors 6-Months Bank Statement and Reference Letter from Bank, Tuition deposit payment Receipt)

Hello,

I received my application submitted status yesterday and also received my biometrics letter too.

Where should I go for the biometrics and what should I take with me?

Lastly, in my application, I stated that I'm studying online for the fall term currently. That means I'm applying from winter term. In theory, will this increase my chances of approval? ( I'm also a high school graduate)
