Wow!! Praise be to God. So you're also going to Griffith. That's the school I plan on going also. I'm applying to 3 schools. But the Gold coast campus. Are you going to Gold Coast? I WILL also testify to my Visa grant this year in Jesus name.
Start packing your bags small small and wait for the border opening.

Thank you so much!
I Applied through an Agency (ACA) to 3 schools in July 2020, got an offer to Griffith University in August to study Human Resource management/international Business for the 1st Trimester of 2021, I accepted after a month of waiting for other offers, payed total deposit in October after passing GTE, got COE in November then I started arranging documents for Visa Application.
Applied for visa on the 13th of January 2021,biometrics followed almost immediately on the 18th of January that same day I received a letter to go for my Medicals, Got a date for February 2nd I went and got my Medicals done then the wait game started!
Along the line my passport expired applied for a new one which took almost six weeks, at a point my school called that they were canceling my admission since I refused to enroll ah! (how I overcame that one is testimony for another day) God was just faithful, I had lost hope and enrolled for another ielts exam make I carry eye face Canada lol, (exam is next week btw) and God showed up strong for me, when I got the NJL everyone kept telling me to withdraw my application, I refused because the error was not intentional and was not done by me I prayed like I have never done before ah all Glory to My daddy in heaven! Only him deserve all the Glory! My agent took all the blame and attached documents to her comment letter and on the 9th of September barely 2weeks I received my Grant! Hallelujah! God is greatest! God is alive! What God can not do does not exist!!!

Documents submitted:
Statement of purpose
Sponsor letter
Academic documents (everything down to the least certification I have)
Work documents (must include Leave letter from place of work)
COE
Reference Letter
Yellow card
Police clearance report
Passport data page
2 Passport photographs
Note: I didn’t use Bank statement because they waived it off as at then, only my school requested for a bank statement.
I use my case as a point of contact to everyone waiting and believing God for a breakthrough on their visa application, yours will come! You too will testify! For what God can not do does not exist!
To God be the Glory!

Before you decide on any course, I'll advise you to check the skilled occupation list. The most common pathway for graduates of MPH is Health Promotion officer and the jobs are quite limited. Should you intend to stick through, it's possible to come in and switch courses after your first semester. Don't come and pay millions for a course that won't get you PR.

Hello house, thanks for all you do.

I need s the gurus especially someone who is in OZ to advice me urgently.

I have a B.Sc in Anatomy but work experience in corporate sales for about 4yrs. I also have MSc in Public Health. My agent thinks student route is better so I want to apply for Public Health MSC in Australia and came across Torrens University programme, MBAMPH. Agents feels it's a good course based on my academic a and work background. What are the employment chances with it (high/low) or do I just apply for MPH in Federation University?

Also is the MBAMPH certificate, a 2 in 1 certificate,or 2 separate certificates?

Secondly, can anyone send me a good SOP sample please

Thanks

@AyaE I would like to have your opinion and that of other experienced ones on this platform in my present position.

I have an offer with UTAS on MSc Finance (Data Management) specialization and I have accepted it and also went ahead to submit documents needed for GTE. However, I also applied for MSc Social work in the same school through another agent and I was given an offer that includes 6 months BSW and 2 years MSW.

My concern now is my educational background and work experience suit MSc Finance but I have engaged in some voluntary activities in my place of work and also personal that I stated in my SOP when applying for the MSW. Will it affect my VISA processing if I go ahead to accept the second offer on the ground that my educational background does not align with social work or I should just stick with the first and change when I arrive in Aussie?

Kindly help with your candid opinion without reservations.

Thanks a lot for your response.

Like you advised,my agent says I can apply for MPH,then switch courses when I get there.
He suggested Social Work as PR will be faster, but I'll really prefer something related to Sales/Marketing,like an MBA(since I have the experience already).

Can an MBA get me a PR?
Found these job positions on the skilled list,Sales and Marketing manager, Marketing Specialist,Market research analyst.
Which of them have readily available jobs?

I'll appreciate your feedback pls

I would say whichever one works for you then you go ahead and do it. I don't exactly have the right answer for you I'm sorry but the social work degree does give you a higher chance of job opportunities and PR.

If the course is on the skilled list for either 190 or 491 then that's splendid. From my perspective, opportunities are quicker in community services, social work, health fields (RN and EN) and IT. But that is my perspective and maybe someone here who has had some experience with marketing might add their opinions. Also sometimes it's not about what you prefer it's about making smart and informed choices. Goodluck and cheers!

Hello Guys, my grant just came in today!!!!
Thanks to everyone who has contributed on this thread one way or the other on this thread. It has helped immensely.
My time line:
Submitted application-31st July 2019
Conditional offer- 15th July 2019
CoE- 24th November 2019
Biometrics- 27th December 2019
Submitted Visa Application- 25th January 2020
IELTS Score- 7.0 (I had a minimum band score of 7.0 so my average was 7.0). I got a waiver from the school so I didn't need IELTS for school admission. My agent advised I write one for visa so I did.
School- Flinders University
Sponsor's account: My maternal uncle. Submitted 2 bank statements. One had 18m and the other was a fixed deposit account that matures every 30days. It had 13m.
Course- Social work (masters)
BSc- Microbiology

Submitted my credentials, letter from sponsor, proof of relationship to sponsor (uncle & Mum's NPC) and sponsor's account statement. I didn't submit payslips or my account statement sha.
Challenges faced: I already had an MSc in Microbiology so applying for a second masters was what I had to prove. Plus, with Social Work being a high risk course I had to write a convincing SOP. (I can share that with anyone interested cos mehn this took me like a month to write). My work experience was also a bonus cos I work as a care assistant.
Sometime in December the bank statement I used for the school admission could no longer be used cos he had to move the funds to another bank for investment reasons. He had to submit another letter to this effect. He also had to back it up with the fixed deposit account.
School resumes on Monday so if anyone could help with flight and accommodation links, I'd be most grateful.

Thank God!!!!!!!

@AyaE kindly help with that your convincing SOP to serve as a guide in drafting mine. My email address: mytimemystar@gmail.com. Thank you in advance

Don’t know if that’s the norm now but that’s how I went about with mine. I applied for visa last year while I was doing my first semester did another semester this year and I’ve deferred 2 semesters now, that’s after I got my visa.
NB: I don’t know if you can still be enrolled for this semester cause I’ve deferred this semester which is from Sept 13th- Feb next year. I’m also a student of Torrens.

I can’t say if you’ll be getting your visa before February because I applied December last year and got a decision just this past July, also I’ve seen someone get a decision in 4 months. You can also always defer and update IMMI with your updated COE, that’s exactly what I did.
What I can say however is you have a good chance of getting your visa if you can pass this GTE level with Torrens as Torrens is an AL1 school atm.
I have no choice at this point but to wait till borders are open hopefully soon. This whole wait has been draining I must say.
Goodluck with your application.

Cheers.

Sorry to disappoint you, haha. Australia does not provide scholarships for Bsc or Msc degrees; instead, it offers discounts on school fees.

Pilot plan to return international students
24 September 2021

A pilot plan that will see the phased return of fully vaccinated international students to NSW has been given the green light by the Commonwealth Government, with the first flight touching down by the end of this year.

Accommodation provider Scape has been confirmed to house the returning students for a 14-day quarantine in Redfern, at a building retrofitted to accommodate up to 650 students to COVIDSafe standards approved by NSW Health and NSW Police.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional New South Wales, Industry and Trade John Barilaro said the staggered return of students was stage one of a pilot that would slowly expand and evolve, as vaccination rates continue to rise in NSW and internationally.

“The international education sector sustains thousands of jobs across NSW, and I’m proud that NSW is leading the way with the return of international students to our shores,” Mr Barilaro said.

“The safety of the people of NSW is paramount and we are taking no risks. All participating students will be required to be fully vaccinated with a TGA-recognised COVID-19 vaccine, and strict quarantine protocols will be in place.

“Importantly, this plan will not come at the expense of any Australian citizen or resident wishing to return home.”

Treasurer Dominic Perrottet said the program was vital to the State’s economic recovery, creating jobs and restoring growth.

“International education plays an important role in connecting NSW to the world,” Mr Perrottet said. “As we implement a range of efforts to reboot our economy, rebuilding the sector - which was worth $14.6 billion to NSW in 2019 - is a key part of our efforts.”

Education partners including Australian Catholic University, Macquarie University, The University of Newcastle, The University of Sydney, UNSW, UTS, University of Wollongong and Western Sydney University, plus independent providers the International College of Management Sydney, Kaplan, Navitas, RedHill and Study Group, have signed up to the industry-funded pilot plan.

Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres said NSW was the top destination in Australia for international students.
“More than 57,000 students are currently overseas, with many desperate to return, resume their studies, part-time jobs, connect with friends and continue their journey in our world-leading institutions,” Mr Ayres said.

The first phase of the pilot plan is anticipated to bring back 500 international students to NSW on chartered flights, paid for by the students, by the end of the year.

Scape CEO Anouk Darling said the company was proud to be involved in the pilot.

“Our Scape team are proud to partner with the NSW Government and our world class education sector, here in NSW, to welcome our returning international students into our most advanced and COVID-safe student accommodation facility at Scape Redfern,” Ms Darling said.

The announcement was welcomed by the higher education sector with Professor Barney Glover AO, Governor of the NSW Vice-Chancellors’ Committee thanking the NSW Government.

“After over 18 months of planning, we are delighted that both the Australian and NSW Government are supportive of a pilot plan for an incremental reopening of our borders to our international students,” Mr Glover said.

Council of International Students Australia President, Belle Lim, welcomed the detailed planning and collaborative approach.

“We all want international students back on campus, enjoying the unique learning, work and life experience that only studying in Australia can deliver. We support the cautious approach and look forward to growing the number of students returning to NSW over time,” Ms Lim said.

CEO of Independent Higher Education Australia Simon Finn said the private higher education sector welcomes the pilot’s launch and commends the NSW Government’s unwavering focus on community safety, international student welfare and rebuilding the state economy.

“By working with the Independent Higher Education Australia (IHEA) on this pilot from the beginning, the NSW Government has demonstrated its commitment to supporting both the private and public education sector,” Mr Finn said.

Participating education providers will contact students to progress an expression of interest for the pilot plan.

Please i need advice from you guys. Please i want to apply for austraila college, TAFE, and currently i am 24 yrs old. Currently living in ukraine i dont live in nigeria.
With my age is it adviceble to apply for TAFE colleges? Note i dont have any bsc degree before, i only have waec with my first year university transcript. Because i am currently studying here, i am in my second year, But i want to move to australia and study by feburary 2022.

1) with my age will i find it difficult to get visa with TAFE COE?

2) secondly, i want to act as a self sponsor, if i present my own bank statement with funds of AUD30,000 will it be enough?

The course i am planning for is 2 yrs in automative mechanic, and the tuition fee for the two yrs combine is AUD26,000.

Please guys i need your advice.
Your age should not be an issue if you can demonstrate what you've been doing since graduating from high school and why you're interested in the TAFE programme.

30000 AUD is a paltry sum for self-support; how are you going to cover airline tickets, accomodation, and other expenses?

Hello House, Can a BSC graduate with over 6 years working experience apply to TAFE schools, hope it won't be an issue at the embassy when applying for visa.

I am actually planning to apply for a graduate diploma course not an ordinary diploma.
