Good day guru in the house. I greet every one. Please I have a question about the home tie and proof of finance. I have 2 landed property one for farm and one normal land to build a house, I also have two completed house, one I want to lease it out and the one am living in, which documents can I present as an evidence for I have the documents of each ties but not the C of O type for we know that C of O is quite expensive. Will they accept the normal documents, survey and others. More so I have a family with my two kids which am not planning to go with presently, and finally I have a registered company that deal with solar system, though not a big company, can all these work as a tie? I don't have much in my statement of account so am planning on getting loan to balance it up and get 2m -3m on my statement of account. Can this fly..... I will appreciate it if the guru in the house can advise and help me through. Thanks 1 Like |

If you have other options please take it. Sponsorship on its own is dicey for even family members at times from uncles or extended members not to talk of Company sponsorship. Except there’s no other option, but if it’s a limited company, be sure there’s a board resolution sealed explaining disbursement of the funds. NmaEbube: 1 Like |

I do hope the lump sum was clearly explained cos mine was explained in two places in my application and it was ignored. Once they see lump sum they just get weird. regardless if you explained it properly you have a good case to fight BolaT53: |

Same bloody reason, not really different. And I think it’s the same visa officer cos that code is familiar, I will check and revert. Was there a board resolution? I duno. My advise, share your profile with a lawyer. The annoying part is once it’s like this, they may use same reason to deny in your next application. If you can afford it, please consider it. As i suspected. Same Officer assessed our application. Please consider JR, there’s already an error which you pointed out and that alone shows a gap. You don’t have to pay for the assessment, I’m using Ugo and he looked at my application file and my notes. He will tell you straight up if it’s worth it. RollyA: 3 Likes

Hello, Good Evening. I am an undergrad (Computer Science) in a private university here in Nigeria, I want to apply for a post graduate certificate in applied network infrastructure and system administration at Conestoga College. While doing my research online I found out that I might need to submit my WAEC results for study permit. My problem is that in my WAEC I had a D7 in chemistry, but a B3 in NECO chemistry. My question goes thus; 1. Can I combine both results when applying? (is NECO accepted) 2. Do the VO’s check O level results for post-graduate students? Or is the first degree more important? Your answers are highly appreciated, thank you. 2 Likes |

Nice observation. This looks like a trend for that VO. It'll be good if he/she can be reported to any higher authority. The VO is clearly not being professional and thorough in assessing people's hard fought applications. Wasting people's time, energy and money is a crime Let other applicants that got similar refusal reason check if it is the same VO RollyA: 2 Likes |

This isn’t the only one I am seeing. Someone here also got assessed by same Officer. It’s unfortunate the person can’t afford JR. They are aware of who can and who probably can’t from your profile and level somehow. Very common once you are not self sponsored. I paid the price and opted JR cos going for reapplication is less certain username12: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by RollyA(f): 10:01pm On Sep 24, 2021 |
I duno but with the way I feel about visa applications now, if you can avoid many checks please avoid. Business can just be ties. Let your dad be your sponsor and he can transfer whatever amount he wishes from his personal account to you. It’s more straight forward and direct. Then your dad can show that he has a viable business and it’s for the family and you are directors. I duno really; don’t assume visa officer should know however the company funds should be used. Avoid probing if you can. NmaEbube: 1 Like 1 Share |

RollyA:On the average, what is the cost of JR and duration it will take ? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by RollyA(f): 10:05pm On Sep 24, 2021 |
I just submitted last week but I hear it generally takes 2-3 months. My JR cost 3k cad but I was allowed to pay in Naira, the lawyer only advised me of the exchange rate. And payment was per milestone for me so I can rest from paying the first half. next payment is when another milestone is achieved possibly, settlement. Different lawyers with their payment terms. I hear some lawyers even charge 5k but 2500 is the cheapest I have seen, with beg. If you get something cheaper, I can’t guarantee the lawyer will be that good. Good lawyers with good reviews usually cost 3k and above. etin06: 4 Likes |

In whatever you do, don't convert your foreign currency to naira please.. Proof of asset? Did you mention in your SOP that you have landed properties? If you did, you'll need to show documents. You can do a deed of gift to yourself on the jointly owned property (taking into consideration how your siblings will react). If your siblings are in Nigeria, use them as home ties. Also, find a way to mention that the course will let you return to Nigeria to improve the economy. Ikechi12: |

Your property documents are enough. If your company is registered, submit the documents showing you as the owner. If you also do volume transaction on a company bank account, submit it too. If your wife is working and earns salary, submit get employment letter to show she can take care of the house while you are studying. You should strive to have equivalent of full 1 year tution + minimum of 10k CAD for upkeep in Naira or USD. shawnmich: |
