Except the landlord is a personal friend of yours or the house is in bad condition, they have absolutely no reason to "suspend"" the rent pending your arrival. I think you should hang on a bit longer and wait for your visa to come out or cancel altogether and cut your losses.

The requirements is 28 days before submitting your application. Immediately you biometric is submitted at the VAC you are free to Utilize the money in that account.

Yes for school fees or accommodation even at that you are likely to be refused too if that account is verified after you removed the money.

Yeah, if the airline has been lifted out of UK red list you can go ahead with the booking.
I do flying Turkish Airlines during my undergraduate program from Nigeria to London, London to Nigeria vice visa.
Back then they have reliable planes and cabin crews are friendly, only that you need to buy strong travelling bags and try to sealed off all your belongings because Istanbul international airport is very busy airport where lots of passengers bags used to be roughhanded and possibly broken.

Any reasonable person currently looking for accommodation in the UK at the moment would obviously understand the urgency, a lot of people have posted issues about getting accomodation. UK currently has a surge in obtaining accomodation and you are here telling people about conditions that exist 10 years ago.

A student lands in the UK and spends two months in an Air BnB looking for suitable accomodation, meanwhile spending cash paying for alternate accomodation, but you are here saying people should offer lower than the advertised price, you think I want to pay more, like are you joking or something .
If accomodation was easy then why are people complaining about it.

Jack of all trades and master of none, no human has knowlegede on everything, we learn everyday and people grow by accepting their deficiencies. I have posted an agency page asking for offers and you are still here arguing about what I dont know.

The only reason I posted it is to help people with large families obtain accomodation faster, imagine a family of five paying for hotel accomodation for two months, imagine what they can do with that money instead.I met a family in Newcastle , they have been staying at an Airbnb for 5 weeks, the man was depressed. No one expects you justwise to have knowledge on everything, and when you encounter issues that you have less knowledge about, then try and learn from it, and not just start arguing blindly because you dont want to feel limited . A lot of people here are looking up to you for guidance , ego tripping is not helpful to anyone.

There is a current accomodation crisis in the UK and getting accomodation is hard at the moment, if you dont know then ask. People are struggling to get accomodation, people are bidding to get accomodation, do you think I have money to throw away by making an offer? I really dont undertand what you going on about.

The whole point of this place is to get direction on how to navigate current issues that effects schooling in the Uk,I know at least 4 people that made the same move as I did, and they are setteled now, after spending weeks in hotels looking for accomodation.

The United Kingdom opened up PSW and they have more applications this year than they ever had, there is three times more applications than they had last year, three times more people looking for accomodation, and obviously it has affected the real estate industry. Oga ,its not rocket science. sometimes I struggle to understand you.

Why do you move abroad with larger family if you have no accommodation waiting or made an arrangement for one?

When you failed to plan then you planned to fail, you have two options when moving abroad with family of 1,2 or more.

1. Main applicant moved first, stay in a hotel, BnB, AirBnB to settle, get accommodation before moving the rest of the family.

2. Pay for student accommodation for one semester, use that opportunity to get something cheaper and suitable for family.

Its not rock scientist that if you moved with larger family it will cost you a lot to stay in a hotel or AirBnB.

The reason you gave for the lack of accommodation is not true because:

1. We have had PSW before for many years and there was no accommodation crisis then.

2. The UK was still a member of EU then hence many EU students and other EU members can easily troop into the UK as they wish but still many foreign students still get accommodation.

Years ago when i moved from Bradford to Portsmouth, i travelled to Portsmouth first(this is about 6hrs journey) stayed in a hotel for just a day, got list of private landlords from the university and the next day i viewed 3 properties and was able to get one. I moved back to Bradford to pack my stuff.

Yes you were desperate for a place and that was why you offered to pay more than the asking price.

You risk Refusal .. please leave the money untouched pending your decision. Don't say I did not warn you.

I wouldn't advise you to use one in my opinion. Get the required funds in a bank account then when you get to the university, you can present your loan to them.

We paid 8,000 or so for courier , and we used VI,.... the words written on the visa is "restricted work No sportsperson No public funds"... anyways the rule is clear my dependant can work full-time...

Yeah, they've started sending letter to students, request for credibility interview as a part of requirements to give out CAS.
Possibly your applications might not require any credibility interview before sending your CAS letter.

What?? It is the same one I have. But the UKVI rules say you can use a student loan letter as POF. Is it because of the condition in foot prints on the attached letter you were refused? I think you should get the school involved and/or ask for administrative review.

I am really sorry about this for you. This is making me unsettled because I planned to apply on Tuesday.

So that I and other people here can learn from your experience, please I would need additional clarification from you. Prodigy Finance is regulated by the FCA and the rules say the company granting the loan should be regulated by the FCA. Why then are they rejecting it? What then is the way forward? Would an additional letter from your school confirming acceptance of the loan from Prodigy Finance and advance disbursement help or would have helped?

Hello All,

My spouse has been having a challenge with the school she applied to ,she has been asked to either defer or terminate admission if she's not able to upload her Visa page by 27th of September 2021 to complete enrollment.

She has fulfilled all of their previous asking to complete enrollment which was the additional 50%(5k+) after initial deposit of £ 3k.

Her Visa application is ongoing and she just did her biometrics on the 22nd(priority) . What do you suggest we do here ?

We've sent different mails to the admission team and it seems there's nothing they can do from their end . They insist visa page must be uploaded on the 27th.

People that are actually getting real loans are being sidelined… making the buying of POF dominant. I believe you should actually get a letter or advice from the school.

He may be the 'son of a dead millionaire' indirectly he has increased the cost of renting in that area or encourage the agent to expect such offer from other foreign students.
