What if it rains heavily after spraying the insecticide? Will you respray again after rain? I bet you've never cultivated in a skunk-infested area. Those daredevils have a very sharp sense of smell and can uproot anything edible. They dealt with my maize farm in 2017.

So it's always safer to treat the seeds aside spraying the cultivated area.
Wow sorry about that.

I hear say na Maize Farm dem dey always destroy.

Can you give me the method of soaking the seeds inside the insecticides so the seeds won't lose it's potency
Re: My Cucumber Farm Dairy by REUBEN010(m): 4:13pm On Sep 22, 2021
Nezzjnr:

How do you soak them

You soak the seeds in water and add a drop of the systemic insecticide or 2 pinches of furadan/wormforce (depending on the volume water) 5mins to planting. Just before planting, you drain the water and plant seeds. If possible, apply furadan/wormforce nematicide at the planting hills/holes while/after planting to further safeguard your seeds.

They also uprooted my planted okra seeds in 2019 but the damage was not as extensive as that of the maize.

Thanks a lot.

Hope it won't have any effect on the seeds in terms of Production

No it won't. I've always treated my seeds such way before planting and haven't had any issues.

an acre is too much.
it depends on the price at the particular time that you are selling.
but with GAP you should be able to get about 70 bags or more on a plot

that is Downy mildew. senior, you need to do aggressive pruning on that your cucumber (cut all the lower leaf, and yellowish) if you can get your hand on Cabrio it will work fine at 50ml per 16lit.

I don't use Cabrio though. I use Jumper D. It's in Powdering form. I have not been applying as often as i should due to persistent rainfall. I guess the inconsistency could be the issue. I will do pruning on Monday. Thanks boss!

Every farmer shud read this! Farming may go extinct in the future. Scientists can now grow food as microorganisms. And this can replace meat, milk, grains, pulses etc! We are talking about what may happen by 2030!! Read and tell me what you think:

You are right bro. But then, if they succeed, competition for fruits and veg will be very high. I like the concept though, and with time, I will start my own experiments. Currently gathering as much knowledge as I can.
