After reading this yesterday, I saw in another news where governor Ortom was as usual, brainwashing my Igbo people, saying that Igbos deserve a better treatment from buhari. The same Ortom who went for PDP zoning committee meeting in Enugu last Thursday and teamed up with the rest of the North that the south should produce the national chairman, so that the North will still produce the next president. It didn't occur to him that Igbos deserve a better treatment from the rest of Nigerians including him. Else, he should have thrown his support for Igbos to produce the next president.

You still haven't answered my question about what you guys stand to gain.

Like they say politics is a game of numbers. And this belief that the North has the numbers has to be debunked. This is not before 2015 when the PDP were calling the shots and as it stands now the party is in a disadvantage position looking at the number of states in their control.
For the PDP, the only way to get back to power is only if the party field a northern candidate knowing fully well that the APC will field a southern candidate. Banking on what played out in 2015 when Northern PDP governors and leaders went to their houses on the election day, the APC governors especially those that will be rounding up their second terms and leaders will be in their houses and tacitly tell their followers to vote for the Northern PDP candidate.

1) Politics is about interests. Every have certain personal interests.

2) For ordinary citizens (masses) like you that don't get anything directly from the Government, your interests may be limited to having someone from your tribe become the president or preventing someone from a tribe that you hate.


3) For peoples that are members of a political party, they have other interests that goes beyond tribes.

For floor members of political parties that attend rallies from one town to another, singing, dancing and shanting party slogans , they aren't just doing all these because of tribes but for what they stand to gain if their parties come to power e.g contracts to supply wooden planks to roof the community primary school, employment slots in NSCDS, N-power, FRSC etc.

For upper echelon of the party, they will support their parties to win because they they will be in power as LG chairmen, House of Assembly members, Governors, Senators , Ministers etc.

Timi Sylva worked for APC victory in 2015 to earn a Ministerial post , despite being a kinsman and a former beneficiary of GEJ.

Rotimi Amaechi also worked for the APC despite being close to GEJ.

Let's do a bit of history here, in 2010, it was late Dora Akunyili, the first cabinet member to speak about Jonathan becoming acting president. Now, since you want to point accussing finger, which state in Nigeria did protest and salvos to the cabals hindering Jonathan from becoming acting president started? Who were the first set of people to speak? How did Jonathan even emerged as VP to late Yaradua? Also, how many states did PDP won in 2011 in South West?
