Thanks it is noted. Someone also wrote me to say it is part of school post Covid plan which ofcourse would have been an instruction from IRCC . Thanks for your response.

Emmasonic4me:

Hi Vivian,

It appears that 4 weeks rule is silent on IRCC website. However, my school mentioned it on one of their International students FAQ page that students can only travel 30 days to their resumption date. So, I want to believe it's one of the Covid-19 readiness plan put in place by the schools and the airlines are communicated too.

Hello Dolly

I have answered this question several times, it is not compulsory to write IELTS when applying for a Canadian study permit, it is optional...
Many applicants here have gotten their Visa without writing or submitting any IELTS results...

Its only compulsory for EE application and not study permit application...

Peace
dollymon:
I have a question please.

Do I still need to do IELTS?

I heard of recent, thev stopped asking for the NSE requirements

Chaii, that school can delay for africa oooo. For me it took them 1 month to release my own LOA after deposit payment. It was annoying cause I got my admission on the 7th day after applying, onlu for LOA to come exactly one month after with plenty email reminders sef.
Worst is that the Africa representative does not respond to emails ( maybe they are swamped though). When I deferred to winter, my new offer letter came two days later. Just keep sending them reminders, they will answer you.

Kidsister13:
Please how many days or weeks does it take centennial college to give one acceptance after payment? School is resuming Jan10 and I am yet to apply for study permit. Wo, na to cry remaind

Hello mhozz

If you have gotten your PPR after getting your deferment, you will need to inform the school that you have gotten your Visa, maybe its possible to still meet up... And if that isn't granted by the school, you can wait till the deferred date cos the Study Visa requires the applicant to travel to Canada within a year the visa was issued...

You do not have to start your study permit application afresh because of this, the only reason for starting a fresh study permit application after getting PPR is when you want to change your DLI...

Hope this helps

Peace
mhozzis:
For those that got PPR after deferment of admission, pls how did you proceed.

Do I start my study permit afresh?

You can try using Snipping Tool (Windows) or Screenshot (Mac) to screengrab the FIles and save as PDF/Jpeg then Merge them all together.

I’ve read here that medicals are only valid for 12months. So if you will be entering canada after the validity period, then you may need to redo medicals. I stand to be corrected, I’m not a guru

Please someone should help me out here o.

I have a Bsc in Accounting 2.82/5.0 Cgpa from a Nigerian University, I later got a master's degree in Labor relations and Human Resources 3.87/4.0 from a US school. This Master's degree was course based and i never had Thesis or any research work, just an internship. I came back to Nigeria and started working as a HR personnel in a private Nursery/primary school.

Now i intend going to Canada through study route but having the toughest time finding a program to do. Phd seems out of it since my Masters wasn't thesis based and have never done a research work. Plus to secure a supervisor is like so difficult.

Please can the gurus in the house suggest a way out for me. I would like to go for another study but don't know what next to go for. Pls suggest courses and schools also considering my undergrad gpa since most of the schools require an undergraduate gpa of at least 3.0/4.0. I am so confused.

It's quite common for many people to go for a second Masters degree and you stand very good chances seeing that you can even prove you travelled and came back home to take up employment. With your grade you should be able to get some funded masters degree programs in Canadian schools.
check Memorial University, University of Regina and a few others. Basically Google courses you are interested in and the schools that offer them with funding

Ok. Thanks

Please note that ielts is not compulsory and in recent times ircc has stopped sending out nse requests. Most people with nse still had to wait several months for feedback.

Ielts is valid for two years so you can take advantage of the opportunity to write it if you wish but no pressure.

Dear Team, please I sincerely needs your advise attached is my GCMS note stating reasons for my study permit refusal. I used an agent to process it but not sure she attached my statement of account
I had 10k usd and 11m in my statement of acct. I used a third parter sponsor my maternal uncle. Now I want to change my school from Ontario to New Brunswick community college. I have bsc biz admin now I want to take up a graduate program Intl biz mgt so as to be able to pay my complete tuition fees pls assist to review and advise on how I can tackle the issues raised and re-submit my study permit please. I am so confused

From the visa officers notes, the only challenge is not just your sponsor but also your proof of employment which you did nor provide. Usually, to submit any records to ircc they require a 10 year history of your activities I.e school or work.

You would have to go back to the drawing board and address each of the visa officers concerns one after the other providing explanations and evidence to support a solid reapplication.

She has MSc in what program? Let me share my experience. I have BSc in Sociology, MSc in international business and Management and I received an offer to study another MSc in Employment Relations. I’m also an auditor in a financial institution. All these were stated in my study visa application. I wrote a convincing letter that as an auditor, I audit HR department and needed to hone my skills in that area. I also made sure my LinkedIn profile reflects ‘HR auditor’ should in case … I received PPR last week.

Thanks for your response. Msc Policy Analysis

Hi Mhizamie,

You have the ingredients for a strong application, the agent did a shoddy job, from what you have said l will suggest you do the following.
1. Write a good SOP to explain the funds in your account and how readily available they are to you.
2. You need to design a comprehensive CV, preferably in Canadian format to show your work history, then add your promotion letter or payslips or introduction letter.
3. Look for pictures you have taken with your uncle and let him executive affidavit of support, if you have attestation of birth for your mum uncle add them too
4. Discard that agent, you should do the reapplication yourself,

All the best

Not mandatory but it is highly recommended, it helps your application timeline.

I did not add CV to my application, does it really matter or should I do that with the Web form?

Please was the course changed by the sch, the courses aren't related, so you have to ask yourself if you have career progression in theatre arts, if not kindly engage the sch on it, ideally you have to show that the course you are going for is going to help your career back home, not just any course.
All the best

If you have been able to explain your work experience in your SOP then no need for the CV, but if you haven't you will need to add it. It just helps to show your work history.
