Atlanticfire: As of today, if you have a foreign account, especially US, Canada, UK, Australia, etc, you will likely not be able to use debit card to pay. Unfortunately, the majority of cards issued by Nigerian banks are debit cards. Im addition to that, even if you succeed in adding your Nigerian Naira card, you will not be charged in Naira but the equivalent of the currency in your account. Also, if you choose Naira as your currency during the account setup, you won't be able to add any payment method. |

Dialpad: We can discuss this in private Sir. As to the second question, which i already answered, Nigerians can pay with Naira card but they won't be charged in Naira. This is something i have explained in videos. |

Happy weekend everyone. Today i will share another major challenges Nigerians are facing on Google ads. At least 3 out of every five calls i answered related to Google ads in Nigeria is due to account suspension. And one common reason for the suspension is "circumventing policy". Without saying too much, when Google suspend ads account due to circumventing policy, it simply means that you're trying to play smart on the platform. One major thing i have discovered as the reason for this issue is that many people have at one point used and dump a Google threshold account without settling the outstanding bill. In fact, some people have used several threshold account with outstanding bills ranging from $50 to $500. And due to some of Google's recent updates, getting a threshold account is now very tough, hence many advertisers are now stuck with no option but to use a manual payment account which are now getting suspended for circumventing policy. For this type of suspension, it is very unlikely that you will get the account back, even if you go ahead to pay the outstanding bill in your threshold account. This is a common issue and can be frustrating unless you find a way to bypass it. |

HI Mr.Ojas , I'm having problems running targeted placement ads on a YT videos. Each time I try, it tells me "Weekly estimate unavailable". I've tried increasing the placement links but still no working. Do you have any idea or Google doesn't allow Nigerians to run placement ads? |
Re: My Experience As A Google Ads Specialist In Nigeria by ojasweb(m): 2:35pm On Sep 25, 2021 |
Psycho99: Targeted placement is allowed in Nigeria. However, if it says estimate unavailable, it is because the available audience is not high enough for Google to give you estimate. Even if the channels have millions of subscribers, there are definitely other targeting settings that will reduce the available audience below the limit that Google can show in estimate. For example, if you're targeting "pew dei pie" one of the most popular YouTube channels, if your target location is Nigeria, you might not see audience estimate because their audience are usually not huge in Nigeria. That's just one instance. Nevertheless, your ads should still show unless your bid is not enough. 3 Likes |

ojasweb: I tried creating a fresh campaign to test it out following a YT tutorial video.. I added no other filters/parameters other than placement targeting. Also set the location to "all countries". Still no to no avail not working. In the video tutorial I followed, it gives him an estimate but when I try it, it doesn't despite doing the same thing as him. Even then, I still try to see if the ad will run. It got approved but wasn't running (using my budget). I even changed the CPC to $10, yet nothing. I don't know at this point, I'm very frustrated. |

Greetings everyone. Today i will share another major challenges Nigerians are facing on Google ads. One thing i have noticed about many Nigerians that are into e-commerce business is that most of them sell health/adult products. In fact, sometimes when people complain about certain issues on their ads, i can quickly guess what that person is trying to do or what they are advertising. The truth is that you can advertise health and adult products on Google, however, you must understand the limitations. One of the major limitations is that Google doesn't allow adult products in display network. So, for many people, the problem comes when they are advertising adult products in display network. If you're lucky, your ads will be disapproved and you will see the reason why they are disapproved. However, in many cases, this violation will immediately result in account suspension. This does not mean that people are not advertising health and adult products on Google display network, but you must know your ways around it if you want to be able to do the same. So, if you're trying to advertise certain products on Google, make sure you understand the limitations. Another examples of niches that have some limitations and special requests are financial services and gambling. Some of the requests can be as simple as adding some disclosure information on your landing page while some might require that you submit some information for verification purposes. |

Hello Ojasweb I'm happy with your educative and informative backstory, I've been running a few ads successfully for some of my products but of late i have been getting people who want me to run ads for them but honestly, I'm lost on how to charge and what percentage to charge clients from the amount, i was considering using package but if i charge 50k what percentage is mine thanks again |
Re: My Experience As A Google Ads Specialist In Nigeria by ojasweb(m): 1:53pm On Sep 26, 2021 |
empowerdex: When you say 50k, do you mean the total budget for ads or your service fee? By the way the charges could be between 10 and 18% or fixed rate depending on your condition. 1 Like |

I have done ads for clickbank, cpa, ecommerce dropshipping, pay per call, that was few years ago. Nowadays, the hassle is much. Circumventing or payment suspension. If you can setup payment system for adwords and fund it, let me know. What percentage will you take? What's your refund policy in case of suspension on main campaign, not dummy? |

Intellab: Refund policy on what exactly? |

Greetings to everyone following the thread. While i do think that the CBN limitation on international transactions is not a major challenge when it comes to advertising in Google ads, i have noticed that many people are complaining about it. For example, people whose advertising budget is a couple of thousand dollars will always complain about the limitation except they have other stable means to pay for their ads. |

Re: My Experience As A Google Ads Specialist In Nigeria by ojasweb(m): 12:32pm On Sep 29, 2021 |
Intellab: When using Nigerian cards, use manual payment. |
Re: My Experience As A Google Ads Specialist In Nigeria by ojasweb(m): 12:34pm On Sep 29, 2021 |
Robisky001: Africard too has limitation on amount you can spend per month. I don't know the amount though but it should be more higher than the regular cards. |
