mrvitalis:The southwest has more advantage than the east in Apc. The ss has more advantage than the east in pdp. The se is neither here nor there tbvh. And to make matters worse the voters turnout in that region is the weakest in the south, and thar was during peaceful times. Now that ipob is threatening anyhow who will go out and vote? It'll suicidal for any party to field a candidate. I personally can speak for the SS to say we don't mind which part of the south as long as power returns south. The problem is the ego tussle between SE and SW while the greedy core north watches with keen interest to capitalise on it. |

In December 2013, it was revealed that Australia had monitored Indonesian president and officials not long ago. According to Australian media reports on December 2, Australian Prime Minister Abbott recently attacked the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), accusing Australia of eavesdropping on Indonesian officials. Rumor has it that the act is widely reported. |

mrvitalis: No. On what basis should any Nigerian support a South East presidency? Your brothers in control started the security issues we are still facing today. All you have done for 6 years is say you are not Nigerians and abused everybody steadily-so the 2023 elections don’t concern you. Don’t worry our next candidate will give you the dot nation you want and you will all go home and enjoy it. |

mrvitalis: Mr. Vitalis (and my Igbo friends) Your post is ridduled with a lot of fallacies and that seem to be common with a lot of Igbos! let me break it down for all of us: 1) North has No Edge, unless other Regions give it to them. They would need Votes from either the Middle belt (Ortom! ) They would need Votes from the South East, South South or South West. 2) South West getting Presidency is not only on the North Supporting them but they can get it without Northern Support, if the SE (Igbos), SS and Middle Belt support them, even without a single vote from the Hausa/Fulani 3) Igbos cannot checkmate SW Presidency by not voting for them, if other regions like the Middle Belt and SS vote for them. Why are Igbos so focused on Checkmating the SW, instead of lobbying them for support? You only reap where you sow. 4) It is opportunistic, greedy and myopic, to insist that until the APC gives their Presidential ticket to Igbo, before they will move into APC! If that were to be the case, what happens to all those people from other regions who are in the APC already, laboured for the party all these years? They should just be relegated to the back? Igbos should move to the APC first, support the cause of APC (sowing) and the reap in APC (ticket). That is how it is done. 5) True, North can offer Igbos the V.P or Ordinary Commissioner , as Igbos used to refer to VP 'Osinbande' That is what the North has always offered Igbo in the last 50yrs+ and NOTHING MORE. The North does not have Igbos in its Presidency Plan, not before, not Today and NEVER. Let us be clear on that. 6) What can the SW (Yorubas) offer Igbo? a) They can offer Igbo, SUPPORT for the highest Office in the land (The President, that is one thing they can offer Igbos that is better than what the North will ever put on the table) Question is: Do igbos deserve and prefer Ordinary Commissioner, to Ruling Nigeria? b) The Yorubas can be trusted to stick to any agreement they make. This they have done by supporting the North, via Buhari and kept faith with him for two Terms. So, if they tell Igbos, we will support your candidacy, Igbos can take that to the Bank. But do l need to say it out that the North will not even offer the Igbos such promise of Presidential Ticket, not to talk of keeping to it! In other words, the ONLY ROAD for Igbos to get to Aso ROck, lies in the Support of the SW Yorubas. That is what thee SW can Offer Igbos. 7) what are Yorubas asking in Return (since Politics is a game of Interest and Numbers)? The SW are saying look, you gave your support to the PDP all these years, while we gave ours to APC (the sowing aspect of Politics), each of us was hoping to benefit something from our base, at the end of the day (the Reaping of what was sown in the past). Now that "reaping time" is around, the best we can do for you, in this 2023 reaping season, is to give you our assurance that if you support our reaping in 2023 (because we have sown for 8yrs in APC, (while you were sowing in PDP), we will give you our own unconditional support after that and you will realize your dream, as we recognise the injustice the North is doing to you though, you also hav ebeen making very bad Political calculations (and it appears you are about to make another one in 2023) SW say you cannot sow in PDP and then jump ship from APC to APC at the last minute to 2023 and then want to reap immediately, by asking for the Presidential Ticket. That will be unfair to those already in APC, who have laboured and sowed in APC. Rather, if you lobby enough in PDP where you have been sowing all these years and get the Presidential ticket in PDP, the SW will support you with their Votes (sowing), hoping you will return the favour in 2030. But Igbos say: If you dont handover the Presidential Ticket of APC to us in 2023, we will sabotage your own 2023 ambition. Question is: If that is enough Prize for you, then do so, it still wont put you in Aso Rock for the next 50yrs but you can bet that the North will by itself, give the SW the Presidential ticket, after all their gra gra. History has confirmed that beyond doubt! They know when not to push their luck too gfar with the SW. So, either way, whether you sabotage or not, the SW will get the Presidential Ticket, maybe, maybe not in 2023. If Igbos want to get the Tocket for 2023, they should force PDP to zone their Tiket to the South, so Igbos can have it but for a Region that os already gloating about playing a spoiler role, l think they will reap whatever they sow. Nuff said. 1 Like |

ityP: No one in SW, wey him head correct, will even put Tinubu forward. Fashola or Osinbajo is key. Osinbajo is an ally of the SS, HE WENT THERE, THEY TRUSTED HIM AND STOPPED AGITATION, HE WAS IMPLEMENTING THEIR AGREEMENT WHEN UNTIL BUHARI CAME BACK AND SCUTTLED EVERYTHING.. Osinbajo is detribalised and the Igbos (infact everyone) is comfortable with him as a President. Osinbajo, like Fashola, is acutely intelligent, has the right temperament, fits our image globally (not that tooth-pick chewing mannequin ) but my fear with him, as against Fashola, is that he may to too sissy for this Fulanis, if he become President. He is too God-fearing or too Chuurchy for my liking and the Fulanis may take advantage of him. But Fashola is a No-nonsense mad man, the type of mad man that Nigeria needs right now. A Civilian Idiagbon. Eitherway, Nigeria will be in good hands, if we support any of these two. Just forget Tinubu. 1 Like |

It doesn't work that way, you have to prove to them that you deserve it. You can't tell them to give the ticket to the SE then watch you all move to APC... Move to APC first to show them you people are serious... People bled with their resources, time and everything to build APC to where it is today, you can't reap where you didn't show. mrvitalis: |

seunmsg: Can you kindly show where I said Tinubu or Osinbajo should not contest? You're getting emotional unnecessarily. What I'm pointing out to you is that your crusade of leaving the field for the southerners is obviously because you believe the SW especially Tinubu/Osinbajo have the upper hand in a contest of southerners only. It's a cheapstake and that's why I said you are basing that on a false premise that Buhari will stand aloof and allow the process run its normal course. All events have proven otherwise. First of all, he has taken over the party and handed it over to his cabal by sleight of hand. Now, cast your mind back to 2003-2007. Just like Tinubu, Atiku was in control of PDP machinery. OBJ snatched it from him starting with the eviction of Audu Ogbeh from PDP chair. Same is playing out already in APC. I do not know who Buhari is going to support but I'm sure he is not positively inclined to either Tinubu or Osinbajo. The signs are clear as day. I'm a keen observer of political events in this country and I know the fact that Buhari, a northerner will vacate office for a southerner is already causing ripples in the north. So, the surest bet is that the north will look for the most amenable candidate even if they agree to cede the presidency to the south. I will also suggest that Jonathan should not be supported by any southerner. He has only four years if he were to run and it will be a massive shortchange if the south were to spend only four years and return power back to the north especially given what we've experienced under this admin. Lastly, the presidency being ceded to the south is your strategic move. You should not in all honesty expect other parts of the south to go along with you in that permutation just like that. If another part feels they are better off being VP to a northerner for another eight years, you can't deny them the right to choose that way. 1 Like |
