Decision mail for dependants- 15th of September

We booked Turkish Airlines and arrived in Manchester yesterday morning.

All thanks to God for making it all end in praise. Mehn, I can't begin to type all we went through during this process. God be praised!!!!!!

I requested for a student copy and I wasn't given because they haven't started student copy for my set 2012

Not true. I'm 2013 alumni and I dealt accordingly.

Check your student portal on the school website...and follow as I've instructed you earlier. All the best.

Quick one guy, Please i need help with where to renew and the fastest way to renew my Nigerian passport here in the UK. That nigeriahc.org.uk site is problematic. I have registered but didn't get any confirmation email sent to me and its been like a week now. My passport is due to expire Dec but Uni has been consistent in sending reminder emails. I will appreciate your responds.

My fiance applied for a UK visit visa recently with the help of an agent and the application was denied based on him not able to prove that he will return after his visit and he was not banned. The agent submitted that he was married with a kid and include a fake religion marriage certificate and birth certificate and in the real sense he was not. We are doing our court wedding this week and he can apply has my dependant by November to join over. I have my visa already and will be traveling next week. how Can we go about the other marriage certificate included in his application and the fake name included. Thank you God bless you all

A while back in June, if my memory serves me correctly! quite a number of individuals came here asking questions about single ladies who are applying alone for student visa. One guy in particular was asking the single ladies to contact him privately for further details ,my guess back then was marriage arrangement for visa purposes.

Fast forward, and suddenly alot of individuals are having trouble with proving their marriage status to ukvi ,seems like people that are not genuinely married have been sending in application hence the scrutiny to marriage applications. The flip side of this, is that both genuine and fake marriages would be giving the same treatment thus making it frustrating for the genuine applicants.

I honestly hope people dont mess up this process through bad behaviour, ukvi would be forced to change some rules if people persist with this type of bad behaviour.

You are not alone, we are together. I did my biometrics on the 6th of august too @ Ikeja TLS, and I received this same mail yesterday 27th august. I read on a particular page that “issued”means positive, I.e visa granted and ‘concluded’ indicates the opposite. I don’t know how true this is though. ‘can’t wait to receive collection mail from TLS. I am so eager!

Your partner wants to implicate himself, you said he recently applied, my advice is let him not apply this year, maybe early next year and sort out the previous fake marriage as provided in his previous application by legitimately seeking divorce through legal means....If not he might be denied again or even banned for forging of documents.. My opinion though...

Very good point. The thing is, for those who present fake or forged documents, it will eventually catch up with them, as per changing the rules, dependant visas has been in place for decades for those pursuing post graduate degrees, what I suspect they might do is to subject each application to critical scrutiny and that's where the boys will be separated from the men. In all of these, those who are genuinely married or are genuinely planning on Conducting thier court wedding, so long as they have the requisite documents and evidence available (mind you these evidences dates back with sufficient proof) , they have absolutely nothing to worry about. It's a straight forward rule.

Pls remember to quote your application Reference Number, the one that starts with GWF..... Your name, Passport Number, biometrics date, TLS Center and most importantly, make sure your DMC is Pretoria, cos they won't reply if it isn't.

Marriage certificate will do that. It's not a must that wife passport will bear the same name as the husband. The wahala the govt subject women in the process of changing name has made many husbands to ask their wife to continue using their maiden name

Please go for UBA dollar Africa card. The limit on naira is now 100$ per day. It won't be able to pay IHS or Visa fee

You can not divorce a fake marriage. If you try that you are making the matter worse, you will be doing more of fake divorce as well.

Some schools do provide children care for their students. Check with your school if they do. It's usually is free or very little fee.

The Nigerian HC is the only place where you can get your passport renewed in the UK.
You're now in their loop - they are seriously backlogged, by up to 7 months or so.
For others coming behind, if you've got a passport within 6 months of expiry, renew it in Nigeria before you come to the UK.
