Good afternoon house, im new here with similar interest. My wife got admission into Cornestoga for a one year PGD program, we got denied last year and we reapplied this June. School has resumed since Sept 9th, still no visa or any updates yet. The agent (Maple academy) is advising that we defer till next year again but im unsettled by this as i think the agent isnt putting our best interest forward. If anyone has experienced this kindly advise on how best i should proceed.

Since sch has resumed and you haven’t gotten any response yet then it’s best she defers to the next available intake

Goodday everyone, those awaiting PPR may God come thru for u guys amen.

Please can I get PTA fund with one way flight ticket? If yes, what are the requirements and duration ?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by DestinationCann: 2:09pm On Sep 28, 2021
Yes if you have a scholarship.
No, if you don't have a scholarship.

Don't book return ticket with plans to cancel, CBN will know and your bank will publish your name.

Good afternoon!

Where it's being asked " is work an essential component of your studies" ? Should I pick "Yes" since my program's last semester is for internship or Capstone project (6 credit unit)?

Please, I need urgent response. Thanks my people. I must confess this application is very tasking, but it really worth it. Make God crown our effort with congratulatory message from IRCC.

PPR Alert
I have been a silent reader on nairaland for more than 10 years, and I must say that there is a wealth of information here that can never be bought with money. Kudos to all those sharing live up to date information. You are life savers.

The study visa application was made for my Child who is to resume high school, accompanied by a parent on visitor visa. We used an agent, but in hindsight you can do it on your own through information gleaned from this forum.

We got the PPR request yesterday after months of waiting and getting into real panic mode when school resumed early September. Through this forum, I discovered that sending several webforms and e-mails works. Also, try and do upfront medicals as it helps to facilitate the process.

Timeline (Study Visa)
Application Received - April 28th 2021
Biometrics request- April 29th 2021
Biometrics done/passed – May 21st 2021
Upfront Medical – 15th September 2021 (Had to do it by faith after reading the testimonies)
Medical request – 17th September 2021 (raised webform immediately to upload e-medical slip. Several emails sent).
Upfront medical passed – 27th September 2021
Correspondence letter (BVL): - September 27th, 2021
PPR: - September 27th, 2021

Timeline (Visit Visa)
Application Received - April 28th 2021
Biometrics request- April 29th 2021
Biometrics done/passed – May 21st 2021
Correspondence letter (BVL): - September 17th, 2021
PPR: -In progress

We are still waiting for the visit visa. We are seriously praying for this to come out soonest and we receive it by faith.

If anyone has any ideas on what sort of webform to raise to IRCC on this, please share.

Thanks again to everyone sharing information on this forum. You are the real MVPs!!!!

Thanks be to God who has made all things beautiful in his time.

I also want to get the affidavit of support.

Good morning friends,

Please I have a question, my sister that was refused used an agent that is based in Canada. He told her not be checking her application status because IRCC will flag her application for being accessed by a Nigerian IP address and a Canadian IP address. I told her it doesn't make sense for them to do that because obviously the applicant is in Nigeria. The agent discouraged her from seeing anything on the application or from even logging in to see based on this but I feel like it's not true. She also accepted it because she is very busy at work and didn't have to follow the process.

We are planning to reapply after GCMS notes arrive and she is planning to use the same guy (for whatever reason). I want to be able to tell her that she can be checking this time. Friends, have any of you heard of this being a reason for refusal? I appreciate your urgent responses because we fought over this yesterday and are currently not speaking

Thank you

I can confirm based on personal experience that logging in from Nigeria and Canada cannot lead to denial.

Hello Lani84

These agents ehn.. Can you imagine a reason an agent is giving for refusal?

Simply cos the said applicant is void of the knowledge of the Canada study Visa process... The lies and harms of these agents are just becoming too excessive..

Please advise your sister to come on this thread, and read up and ask questions from knowledgeable people on this thread for guidance.. We have seen applicants here testifying of them running away from their so called Agents and coming here to gain knowledge and applying themsleves, after which they got their Visas... Your sister can also testify...

Agents are doing more harm than Good... This thread is doing more good than Harm, that's if it is doing any harm though..

To answer your question, that can never be a reason for refusal..

Peace

I wish I know but let me pass my little knowledge.

1. I just paid my full tuition fee
2. I’ve been trying to avoid another lump sum.
3. I had a heavy transaction in July when I paid for an equipment I bought (4m) had bank issue that I had to send another 4m which bank rectified after 2 days. Making 12m transaction in 3 days.
To avoid Shalaye-ing up and down in LOE, I just wait for the July to go and start my SOA from Aug, meaning I can’t submit now.

Use my story, that’s what you can do to avoid lump sum. No rush…

Another way is paying full school fees and getting GIC after full tuition fee.

I hope I’m making sense.
I’m open to corrections because I’m a learner too

That's wrong, draft a gift deed yourself and ask your benefactor to sign as well as you and a third party. Take it to Ikeja and ask those affidavit guys to motorise it for you. That will be sufficient.
