Some of my lectures were amazing. A particular lecturer celebrated my birthday, paid all my bills. Anytime I'm broke he gives me money. Most of my lecturers are from my friends we sit together in the office. Well, maybe it's because of my Intelligence or humility until today I still interact with my lecturers. Note I'm a guy not a lady.

I cannot enrol for a PhD in Nigeria because my CGPA fell short of the 4.0 due to the deliberate wickedness of two lecturers
I took it in good faith

Nigerians are generally and inherently wicked. If you attend UK University, u can't attend Nigerian universities anymore. The lecturers we have in this country are just like the politicians, extremely wicked.

I have a friend who studied in the UK - bsc, msc. Even after all he enjoyed in the UK, he was proud to tell me how he failed a potential first class student simply because she wouldn't sleep with him. Well, we're no longer friends.

So true, it same in EU. The students are mandated to give a feedback at the end of every semester. The lecturer with the bad rating get a warning, students can as well report any irregularities or misconduct of any lecturer to the Dean and appropriate measures are taken....omo come see lecturers dey apologize to students

So you mean none of the lecturers in Nigeria can carry out such gesture? Is it every lecturer in UK who does that? It's an individual thing, and the comparison is not really necessary. UK surely has its own bad mannered lecturers.

We have a systemic failure that produce such lecturers and they continue the cycle of madness. Think about what average Nigerians lecturer goes thru getting his PhD, and will understand the method to their madness which that does not make it right either. Their are mean/Mad lecturers in UK/US also but you know you will not last long on the job.
After each class, you are ask to fill out a survey about the lecturer and if a lecturer keep getting bad reviews, his job is on the line but for Naija, who cares.

Young lecturers are wicked, but those with PhD (doctor) and professors are very simple and welcoming, They behave like fathers and mothers, most especially, if you are in 100-200 level, most of the errors you make in 100-200 level are not taken seriously by them... But those young lecturers are way too wicked. I think they do it to impress their oga. In 2013 during my pre degree program, I went to the office of a young lecturer, I told him that, (sir, I want to sign this form), the next thing the man stretched his right hand towards me, telling me to take the pen and sign. I just stood there looking at him, I didn't collect the pen. He later told me to go and correct myself and come back when I know what to say. I left the office.

I though you need minimum of 3.0 point to apply for PhD. Guess I am wrong. Rounding up my Masters and looking toward accelerated PhD but not in Naija ooo. It takes forever for to complete PhD for Naija.

Respectfully speaking, too much evil in the education system. My lecturer gave me 40 in my project final jury because he just did not like me for no reason. That dropped my GP. I will not forget him in my life.

There is something intrinsically wrong with the average Nigerian. I don't know if its a cultural or just a mind thing. But visiting the different regions of this country has shown me that something is just wrong somewhere. Maybe years of military rule played a part. Who knows.
