Please go ahead with your processes using your old passport. But to avoid having issues when in UK, kindly go for renewal. Your will pay the normal 45k passport fee and additional 5k for " migration". That's what it's called by the immigration officers in passport office. You can start the renewal anytime soon as it might take up to 6-8weeks.
Please I will also like to state that it's better you go to immigration office to confirm the present rules as rules changes and it wouldn't appear as if am giving out false information on this" encyclopedia" called NAIRALAND.

If you mean covid-19 test in the UK (2 and 8 day test) it will not work because the current limit is now $100 and the test kit I guess is a over $100. You should use UBA Africard dollar version. This will work. Or use the barter by fluterwave.

We need to learn how to manage the information or the impression we put out there. Especially the dynamics of your leaving, cos before you know it, the authorities are aware of the whole thing and could generalize blocking road for others coming. This has happened in the US and is currently happening in Germany and some other countries.

My dear, the thing really got me worried. we Nigerians are fond of blowing up any bridge we cross. My colleague at Uni of Hull has been pepperising us with pictures and all (not hating) but the twitter thing is just not necessary.

One thing i know for sure is that UK waka wont be this easy next year.

May we not be unfortunate my Brother. I don't have any option than to laugh it out. Its just funny . Despite having full expense paid scholarship from a body known to UKVI. Some are getting Visa within a week. I never thought its like this when i saw the excitement in people when they get their visa.

This experience is funny walahi. . This life no balance. I have a different perspective about life right now.

At last, we will be alright. That is sure. Do not worry.
