I declare my family in the uk and stated I will only spend quarantine at their place and gave their residence permit number. The wait no be hear. I think non straight forward mail comes mostly from the bank. I used a uk bank account belonging to my parent and it was very fast. Most of this Nigeria banks don't reply their mail from UKVI I think so. I thank God this time my only sure plug was God.

I remember my passport took 2 months after getting a plug at immigration office she collected express fee for one week. Also transcript took 2 months after greasing palm and all that. I was really frustrated, but was surprised how quick the visa application went. I give thanks to God and pray for anyone waiting May God give divine acceleration to your application.

For those contemplating on VI or Abuja, choose Abuja especially this time if you're in a hurry. Thanks to everyone who answered my questions and everyone who's experience gave me knowledge. Thanks alot justwise and the rest gurus.

I did Form A with my girlfriend's account because her bank was cheaper in FX rates. So yes, anyone can pay for you.

Oh thank you for the info but there was a transaction showing of an out flow of deduction a said amount which shows on bank statement that the balance droped though the same amount was put back that same day though . Do you think it must have affected the 28days cos my feelings is that the money was still put back that same day ....what's your say on this ....

Home Office's website will calculate it for you when you fill in your course start and end dates.

The name on his passport is his identity and passport supersedes any other form of identification in the global space. He'd have to bear that name on his passport and get affidavit for other documents with a different last name.

Please is POF needed before they can issue CAS?

As long as your passport is valid, nobody will place any court document of identification above your passport in the international sphere. Do not argue what you do not know.

Pre-CAS Checks:

These are the checks required for a CAS to be issued

Maintenance: You are expected to demonstrate Maintenance by showing sufficient funds to cover the balance of your first year tuition and living expenses (£9,207) which should be maintained for at least 28 days (It is mandatory the name on your bank statement corresponds with the name on your international passport).

I haven't been issued CAS. I have actually been awaiting pre-cas interview but I read here that there's no pre-cas interview again, dont know how true though. Let's be hopeful for CAS from nextweek.

Depends on how many documents now has his new name. I will say he should continue with the old name as it is on his passport while you make your visa applications.
If he can get a new passport in the new name, fine. If not, carry on using the old name like you havent even changed it untill you get your passport. Except if his bank account already has the new name... then you might want to rethink things.
But I'll say, carry on using the old name untill application is successful. The HO will only recognise the name on your passport, ie the name on the passport is the source of truth.

My husband changed his surname recently and he has his old surname on his passport, though we’ve sword affidavit as regards the change of name and we are trying so hard to even effect the surname on the passport, but the time frame we are being given is quite too long and it would affect our visa processing. Please can he go ahead and use the passport with the old surname? PS; I’m the main applicant and we have a baby as well.

Hertfordshire is better , middlesbrough is like a small village.
