I find nothing wrong with this school. Must a school be made of blocks and aluminium roofing before it can be called a school?

The school, although with thatched roof and mud wall, looks in solid condition. Moreover, for its location, if that's what fits its environment, I support it. There are schools made with blocks and zinc in remote local governments that cannot be maintained sef.

Forget the fact that it's made of mud and thatched roof. It's beautiful, simplistic, and most importantly, a ground for sharing knowledge.

That could be an Islammiyya School...

I served in Gombe and Akko is where the capital is, the state has one of the best public school facilities in the country mostly in the capital and their pupils are surprisingly learned (majorly women). Mind you, I served with a public agency that afforded the opportunity of traversing the capital nay the state in general.

Could remember when my CDS visited a public school then, mahn, come and listen to intelligent questions being asked by this students mostly the girls with good English.

In terms of religion, the state is shared just like Nigeria 50-50. During my time there their deputy governor was a Christian.

Tissaia, how far? grin

Your political leaders are using religion to deceive you and it's surprising how you manage to swallow the lies. cheesy

When they steal money, they don't care if it will affect Christians or Muslims; they are only concerned about their selfishness.

Their creed is not Islam; their creed is their pocket.

If your eyes are open to reality, you would have realised that Nigeria is not divided into Christians and Muslims; the country is divided into The Rich and The Poor.

Stop behaving like a daft human being.

So because school is a ground for sharing knowledge, it shouldn't have decent structures or what?

Is that a conducive place of learning to you?

You guys should stop supporting nonsense

The thing is, we all will complain about how bad the school is, but won't do things that are needed to improve the school like

1.Voting for good leaders

2.increasing the tax to gdp ratio...most states have a very low tax to gdp ratio.

3.Fighting corruption.

4.Removing subsides, so that there would be more cash for education at all levels.

Re: Marewo Primary School In Gombe State (Pictures) by Nobody: 3:48pm On Oct 01, 2021
Some more comments

1.Many Southern schools are like that

2.Nigeria has less than $3 billion to spend on education (for comparision, South Africa spent $23 billion on education in 2019, and Canada spent $69 billion on primary educaiton in 2019 too)....so we don't have enough cash to spend on educaiton

3.So the solution is to raise more money. But because raising more money= things like removal of subsides, higher taxes, taxation on everyone inclduing cattle rearers and farmers, we don't want.

Instead, we place our hope on selling more and more raw materials, whose prices are never at a level that can sustain us , and we don't even control the prices anyways.

Is the existence of these places news? How?

It's no secret the government is full of puppets and criminals. That's why it's like that.

That said, everywhere in the world has lowlifes that rob children of a decent education. Maybe we need more women in government.
