Wrong replacement, Iwobi is the main source of creativity in Nigeria's midfield and he has no replacement currently in the Super Eagles team, the midfield is thin and he's being replaced with a striker. When Obinna Nwobodo or even Kelechi Nwakali could have been called up as a replacement. This is Rohr in his vintage daft mode. Ihenzy: 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Talk about like-for-like replacement. Eze (blue) still edges Iwobi (green) in creativity, technique and attack. Only if he would come to us. lol 1 Like

Now let's put Ejaria (blue) in the mix. They are pretty much at par, not considering Ovie plays in a lower division.

SofaScore Attribute Overview https://www.sofascore.com/news/sofascore-attribute-overview/ The graph takes into consideration the strength of the league as well. While more weight is given to the most recent season, the previous season is also taken into account. |

Is Onyeka the man to replace Ndidi? Going by the pentagon chart, Onyeka offers similar completeness except for being inferior defensively and tactically (position-related stats). 1 Like

Based on the same completeness comparison tool, courtesy of SofaScore, Rohr has picked our best forwards in Osimhen, Onuachu and Iheanacho. It's a no brainer though. lol

This is football anything can happen, didn't minnows Sheriff Tiraspol win Real Madrid at the Bernabeu? You don't have to take chances when your three of your main midfielders won't be around to play. Ndidi, Iwobi and Etebo won't be around, you need to like for like replacements if their are any around. Truidstar: |

It seems Rohr doesn't fancy much midfielders as the defender that he was...What is wrong, can't he find any other midfielder to replace Iwobi? There is Nwakali, Alhassa Yusuf, and more midfielders that can be brought in as replacement, but instead he invited another forward leaving the midfield very thin with not much options to choose from. The way he chokes up the defense and attack, why can't he choke the midfield like that. 2 Likes |

Clint02:Since the end of the Mikel/Onazi era in the midfield, Rohr has made some baffling choices in that area. He has refused to bring in more options preferring to stick to just a few players despite pretty good alternatives and a lack of balance in that department. With Etebo reportedly set to miss the AFCON I am sure Poorman's Onigbinde will stun Nigerians with his AFCON list. 1 Like |

Rhor wants to use 442, so he believes he doesn't need a lot of Midfielders. But yet, he should have replaced Iwobi with a Midfielder. And please, nobody should say there are no midfielders. Look at the scenario of Kingsley Michael, he doesn't deserved the call up back then but he came out good. Nwakali in all sincerity should have been called to replace Iwobi or even any other Midfielder in any league. Look at Denmark and some European countries, they don't care which club you're playing for, just deliver. Belgium dey call Praet, Bashuayi, Benteke and even players from Belgium league. We are knew that Kingsley Michael doesn't deserved the call up then. Or does he? But now, he has shown he is a very good player. Why not call Nwakali (at least he plays regularly for his club now), Nwobodo, Alhassan(if not injured). Some of us here sef Sabi scout for players pass Rhor. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Rohr is an elderly man at least if he doesn't deserve any respect , respect his age and his progress he has made so far in his career and in SE. Thanks Modified: The assistant pastor that always criticise the head pastor on his preaching he will know far the day he will be ask to preach when head pastor is not available. Very easy to criticize until you are in the position of power then you will not it is another world entirely. 3 Likes |

soetanoreoluwa: Sorry if my words was misinterpreted I called him daft because he is tactical deficient His team tactics and arrangements is not smart Looking at that Team where is the creativity from the middle gonna come from And our wingers barely make good crosses with kind of field we play on in Africa....meaning thecreativity gonna be low and mind u if care is not taken he will take this same line up to afcon And concerning your last paragraph, you missed it power, riches dont change people it only unmask them, it reveal their strengths and weaknesses the lame assumption that someone would do worse if entrusted with power is a fallacy that dont always sway ..... sometimes people who criticise poor decisions could do better or worse if entrusted with the opportunity so do have an open mind Sir |
