This is highly commendable! That Lekki Phase 1 own is way way too much that you will start wondering if Lekki is not one place LASG has forgotten to enforce it's own rules on noise pollution. They will be blaring music into the air with reckless abandon on admiralty way ehn At last, the residents can have a respite. God bless Lagos State. God bless Nigeria. What about the following: 1, Street parties. During fashola regime, you dare not. 2. Churches vigil, noisy day services, preacher's music with mobile microphone and loud speaker. 3. Mosques: tahjud with heavy speakers, outdoor speakers, blocking streets for preaching. 4. Constituting nuisance with rams and other animals on the street. 5. Political parties meetings that blocks roads/streets. 6. Etc NOTE: I am not against any religion or political party but a supporter of reasonable display of religion and conducts that is devoid of public nuisance and decorum. 13 Likes |

/ Usually noise pollution is allowed for a one day event that closes on time with an advance notice to residents. But not this daily blaring of loudspeakers because some knuckleheads want to dance or talk to their God. / 5 Likes 1 Share |

TheSupleemLeada: It's a problem in the whole Nigeria. Poor town planning or poor implement. Thus alot of homes without home address. |

The sound limit in Lagos is 55 decibels during the day and 45 decibels at night. Churches, mosques, bars, theatres, etc. that make a lot of noise are required to soundproof their halls, so that the noise will only be received by people within the halls. They are also required to remove external speakers that transmit the sound to neighbours. Those who do not comply will have their premises sealed. 11 Likes |

TheSupleemLeada: In most cases the issue isn't poor planning, but violation of planning laws. 5 Likes 1 Share |

You have never seen a church and a bar/brotel sharing a small compound in lekki. They both do noise making competition every night, most of the time you will be hearing this annoying mixture of "shedi bolo bolo and fire! fire! in jesus name" 8 Likes |

Very good. I don't understand the sense behind loud music in bars and night clubs. Is it that the beer don't taste better with a low volume music? 1 Like |

This is commendable and worth emulating. I want to appeal to RSVG and DTSG to do same to reduce the noise pollution in the state. |
