You may be right to some extent.
But this would also depend on the service you paid for.
Ofcourse, if its super priority, and your statement has to be verified, I'm sure a CW can put a call through straight to the bank for verification (or whichever third party supplier they use). All of this would happen within minutes of submission.
If its priority, and it has to be confirmed, definately within first two days so they can meet the 5 days service standard.
If its standard, it may not happen within the first four days of submission considering hey have to put super priority and priority ahead of your applications.
Bear in mind some of the processes are automated which might include document readers.

I did my biometrics since 14th if September VI I paid for priority. I am.really praying and hoping it moves today, cos last week Monday i sent a mail to ukvi and I was told the decision was dispatched last Monday. Still hoping, this is not priority again, 20 days already.
