Not true, only consultants in the military start at the rank of major, but the rest start on equal rank, even with masters you get piped with that 2stars

Am sure NCS will harmonise their condition of service just like other Paramilitary do when commissioning professionals

Guys I've got an important question... What is support staff and are we going to be supporting staff or full staff... I'm a bit concerned about the whole recruitment and confused

The NCS is majorly categorize into 3 which are;

1. Support staff
2. Marine
3. General duty

Support staff are the officers with professions, not just the random Officer for patrol or seizure duty.. engineers, doctors, photographers, drivers, e.t.c are all support staffs

This is not true, you can't apply for level 8 and get level 12 abaaah... All SS who applied for the position of ASCII would only start from level 8... Once you get the job, you will earn your own promotion by yourself. You will be appraised , verify and write the promotion exam too and if you pass exam, you get the next rank... No awooof rank anywhere, except for replacement
