It should be an individual decision with no gender attached to it, but with the present situations and mentality we have today in Nigeria, some women have become full liability

Responsible married women, are more committed and works more for their marriage

They understand family values and home front because of their bond with children

However, men suffer more during divorce especially at the later stage of marriage because, women will always find their ways into their children heart

When you start having children men and women decides

At later stage women and children decides, that's the stage where you find most men to be very calm

Agreed it could be either but 99.8% of men ain't ready to pay any price to sustain a home,its always the women who are always and ever ready to pay that price

It all depends on the person's personality.....

To be honest my wife does more of the work that's one of the reasons I married her because I Intuited correctly that she'll do what she can to keep the marriage going. I love my wife dearly for all her sacrifice and patience.

The success of every marriage is dependent on the two parties involved...

The man plays his part and so does the woman...

You can't compare them because the male and the female play different roles in marriage...

Even when the man loses his job and it appears that the wife is carrying the entire responsibility of the home, if that home is successful then the man is STILL PLAYING A PART IN ITS SUCCESS!!

If the woman is jobless and that home is successful, then the woman is STILL PLAYING A PART IN ITS SUCCESS!!!

So in conclusion, a successful marriage is a product of two people who know their roles (not the one the society has branded them with) and are playing their part to the best of their abilities..
