Steering Risk Conversion
Steering Risk - Steering can disengage during motion, lose control, and cause an accident, and that conversion is never 100% successful. Reduced Component Strength - Loads applied in an emergency, e.g., panic stop or loss of power assistance to steering can be very high. Therefore, a car component remodified and did not retain its original design's strength may operate unsatisfactorily under everyday driving loads. However, under high loads, it may fail catastrophically. Susceptibility to Fatigue Failure - Poor conversion design can lead to fatigue failure of the steering component, which is performed satisfactorily for a series of days or time after modification. Car manufacturers invest a lot of time and money in producing components through design, material selection, manufacturing controls, and endurance testing, using manufacturing techniques that are not readily adaptable to low volume modification procedures. The question, is your car conversion tested afterward? Think again! Reduced Primary Safety - Modifications to steering can radically alter a vehicle's handling by introducing undesirable traits such as increased bump steer and poor self-centering. Alterations to braking components can reduce the system's braking effectiveness. Mr Man stop saying things you nothing about please. 40% cars in nigeria are originally RHD even the once that were converted to LHD by some quack like that of the case of ur friend hasn't lost control on highway let alone the one done by an engineer with experience of over 20yrs in the job. Steering rack being welded... Lol... C as u just make me laugh like mumu dis kind night... Can one weld cast? Or Don't you know most car component are cast. Oga follow who know road u no gree. Even b4 ur brother innosin started building cars many Nigerians in the east and north have been building cars let alone to convert ordinary RHD to LHD. What are they changing? Oga stop talking ignorantly talk like one that is expose and educated biko. Don't people change dahboard? Or you haven't seen car owners change evaporator b4 for their cars? So why are you talking like these things are rocket science. What wiring are you talking about here? Haven't you seen a car gone through total re-wiring due to fire accident or something else? Besides, there is no need for rewiring even because electrical wiring is already designed with extra length should one needs extension. So all that is needed is just to re-sucket back to its normal position simple! When ever you're in the country let me know I'll take you around so dealer's stands and car owner's lots to identify a converted car then you'll see how clueless you'll become Even some cars you guys ship into Nigeria are converted, oyinbo do it as well, convention is a common thing all over the World because right road driving is more common in the world than left road driving but if they don't tell you, you won't know? You're not the only one Bolt sends that message so if you're interested to be an ehailing driver simply go to play store and download the app, go through the sign up process, get a car either by rental, hp or full ownership and start driving its a simple process. Good luck. 1 Like |
