geezyk: Two possible scenarios... 1. This trip was most likely on 1.9 surge. So d minimum fare X d Surge gave u 1k. 2. Lets assume there was no surge, Because u did all that at the destination, the App actually senses that u forgot to start d trip. Hence the 9.3km distance recorded but no trip duration included. Now, that is not the correct estimated fare for the trip. Cos estimated fare would have factored the trip duration but what u have there is only duration and base fare. Now, the fact that u didn't even click arrive makes it impossible for the App to calculate where u possibly started the trip from to were u ended it, as u are insinuating. Ask yourself if u didn't get to that destination maybe she asked u to go to VI and u did all that arrive, start and end when u got to VI, what do u think u will see as fare?. Is it still d estimate?? If u did all that arrive, start on ur way while still driving u would have gotten d time u drive and d distance covered for he remainder of the trip only. Plus the surge if any. 3 Likes |

Pearl1910: You're a hoodlum driver and will defend your fellow criminals. Most times, bolt trip will be the same as the estimated so whether the driver drives for 3 minutes, it will be the estimated plus the paid waiting. Only you know how you do it you criminal drivers to shortchange innocent riders. 11 Likes |

Pearl1910: Mr senseless, how do you explain such a trip duration? Why did my trip start at mobalaji bank Anthony way as against where the driver picked me? Please, explain the saka you criminals do to arrive at such ridiculous fair trips. That trip shouldn't be more than 1200. I drive on the platform and I know the estimated trip amount for such a distance. 9 Likes |

IFSHR: I once got a request (early last year) from Akowonjo to lekki(Piccadilly suites). Around 9:30pm. I picked up rider and negotiated offline with her (4k). But I was chasing weekend bonus and wanted to start and end the trip after driving for few minutes. So I left it on paid waiting. I didn't start the trip till I got to Chisco bus stop (4th round about) with about 45mins paid waiting and ended it just after making a U-turn at Igbo efun, hoping to see #800 but saw 4,700. I had to review the trip with trip did not happen. 7 Likes 1 Share |

PuZZyNegro: And u my friend are a Criminal, if u think a trip estimated at 1k will remain 1k even when u encounter unusual traffic that makes a 10 mins trip to extend to 1hr. That will be ur portion every time u drive when next u decide to get on d wheels. 2 Likes |

PuZZyNegro: Go and ask Bolt, don't blame driver for technical errors shown on map. If that driver thinks he wants to cheat u by accumulating waiting time at the expense of distance covered, he is a mumu. And If u have sense u should be happy that the mumu driver short-changed himself. Cos If d driver had started that trip from pick up point, ur fare would have been more than that. U even had a Bonus of 800, u paid only 900 on that trip and u r here venting. Chai..omashey o. poverty is bad. Please next time take d mode of transportation u can afford so u don't have a heart attack. 8 Likes 1 Share |

donfortune48: Early last year, there was no paid waiting. Was there?? Ur story get k leg. If u were pursuing bonus u wouldnt go on long distance trip. U will be doing sort short trips. Why did u wait till getting to Lekki to start trip?, U should start and end the trip shortly after so it will count for u as a short trip, low fare, meaning low commission deducted. Why will u negotiate 4k when u can get more online. And u still allowed trip to be reading till u got to Chisco Too many questions unanswered. In any case that may have been possible early last year when Bolt App was still unstable. 6 Likes |

Pearl1910: The way you've been defending this whole issue of paid waiting just goes to show you're guilty of it. This sakategy has been in place for almost two years, if not more. When I was active, I drove on Uber alone and most times, I go to Chevron drive, I hear drivers discussing this and teaching themselves how to go about it. You're afraid your only way of earning so much (illegitimately) while working less, is about to be made known to riders and would therefore affect your criminal earnings. Like they say, everyday is for the thief, one day is for the owner. Y'all ants are about to be busted. Insulting hardworking drivers and making them feel like they aren't working well enough, while you inflate your earnings by cheating the system. You do not want riders to be aware of the situation, hence your reason for defending vehemently. 11 Likes |

Pearl1910:1. There's no surge whatsoever. 2. It calculated the distance of 9.3km even without arriving, i bet the algorithm made the calculation on the estimated price and that i started and ended the trip as said destination. If we went to VI from there even without my knowledge of starting the trip, distance will be calculated minus time spent on the trip. 2 Likes |

Lol, It's funny this Paid Waiting trick is just getting to this group, even more funnier people are arguing it doesn't work The trick don cast tho, doesn't work anymore....a lot of driver used it to Cashout when it was in full flow...Bolt blocked most of em and stopped it. If alot of people learn about the "yahoo" part of bolt, they'll buy their own cars in 6 months. Uber doesn't give 2 fvcks about u, shit doesn't work on their platform. This one below has been going on since 2020, and will not end anytime soon PS: SAY NO TO FRAUD 4 Likes

davit: Stop making it seem like Somolu is all that far from the airport, it actually isn't. Somolu is close to either Palmgrove or Onipanu, both places aren't so far from Maryland, Maryland all the way to the airport isn't far away either. Y'all should stop defending criminal drivers, who would cheat the system by allowing the paid time to read, up until almost the end of the trip, because they know fully well that the system would calculate the distance covered, regardless of where they choose to start the trip, thereby playing on the intelligence of riders, it is wrong. 3 Likes |

geezyk: You do not need to explain anything to him, because no matter how much you do, he would keep defending like he was the one that took the trip for you. The difference is less than 1km and a lot of reasons could he responsible for that, but it is most definitely not because you didn't start the trip in time. 3 Likes |

Pearl1910: Cursing will not change anything. I will rather go full time into Yahoo so I know that I am making something tangible out of fraud, than scam my fellow hustler who isn't using bolt because he or she is super rich but because it is necessary that they should use it. Repent if you are into defrauding riders to make extra money. I am surprised that the same drivers that advocate the driver should end trip or ask rider to update location once they are going to different places as the trip is most like to end with the estimate of the first destination is now saying that estimated fare doesn't matter but only actual. Why not let someone input Ikeja to Maryland and let you drive them the whole Lagos let's see how much such trip will end. 11 Likes |

ThatNiccur: See beef o...high earnings... hardworking If u say a driver arrives when he hasn't arrived, I will agree with u. Drivers do that, and the difference is most times about N50 or N100. is it that one I will use to buy another car or make 25k daily? If u say a driver starts d trip before getting to pickup, I will agree with u cos that will definitely increase the fare. The argument this morning is a driver will click arrive, pick up rider and not start trip until he is half way into d trip. So yes, he has accumulated waiting time, but has lost money for the distance he has covered. Oga, since u guys cannot think for urself, let me tell u today right now that d driver has lost earnings, even now that waiting time is high unlike before that it was insignificant. For you to be taking lessons from drivers that park and gist on Chevron drive, I already have a picture of who u r, ur mentality and how u reason. 2 Likes |

ThatNiccur: You see reason with me. I live very close to Palm Groove bus stop. You will enter Ikorodu road within 2 minutes of driving out of my house. From that place through Anthony, Maryland, climb Ikeja bridge to Airport without any traffic. How can such a short trip end 1700? |

Pearl1910: Your usual way of manipulating conversations and changing narratives. I never mentioned anything about parking and taking lessons from Chevron man, but you would say anything to defend your criminal actions, read the post well to understand and comment accordingly, criminal. Was specific, when I hear drivers teaching there fellow drivers, of what use would it be to me? Or you didn't see where I mentioned I only used to drive on Uber? Stop your criminal acts today, there's no such thing as small crime or big crime. What goes around comes around, it is simple, when you cheat people, be ready for the consequence that follows such action, no matter how little you think it is. People keep paid waiting for as long as 2 hours, even on surge trips. Been driving on the platform even before you got a license, so forget that issue of taking lectures from Chevron drivers, I do not even stay there, I go all the way to the end of the road, through the alternative route and back on the express, and before I'm done with that round, I get a request. . You're a thief, taking people's 1k here and there, by the time you do that on 10 trips, that's about 12k extra on paid waiting alone, on a daily basis. You're a thief bros. 8 Likes |

PuZZyNegro: Definitely, he's only defending the actions to allow him continue his criminal pattern and allow riders believe there's nothing like that. If you're a rider and you're on this thread, spread the word. Insist your driver begins the trip right at the point you step into the vehicle. 4 Likes |

FuckEveryday: Safe to say the driver that picked me to the airport isn't the same with the profile I saw. I didn't take note until I started reviewing the trip details. It was then I realized he's a different person. I am sure his main account has been blocked for fraud. This is intended fraud which I experienced at Owerri as well. The Owerri guy slide arrived while still far from me and still didn't start the trip until I reminded him. Trip ended the exact 2100 estimated plus 200 naira wait time. I initially never wanted to pay him complete because I told him I am a driver in Lagos too and understood the fraud he just did. He started arguing that the paid waiting fee is insignificant. Well, I paid him complete and blessed him with the rating and comment that he deserves. I resisted the urge to report him. |

geezyk: If there was no surge then second scenario applies. But your fare wasn't estimated fare, if it was estimated fare then it should have been between 1100-1200. Cos the trip duration was not included. If u had gone to VI which distance would have been calculated? Does the App calculate distance covered when u r not on a trip? Abeg I don tire. |
