The lineup is pretty much OK, apart from the inclusion of Collins. I think Bassey should have been played instead.

Rohr will do no such thing bro. The guy no wan experiment. Qualification first. And besides, I noticed that a player will be rated very good until he put on the GWG jersey. That's when you will see wailings and gnashing of teeth grin grin grin
The Olise that we are all clamoring for might come and even stay on the bench for Iwobi. Let's learn to appreciate the bird at hand.

This affirmed you are suffering from Paranoid personality disorder.

You need a psychiatrist or psychologist to help you out because it’s getting out of hands else why accusing me of the comparison between Awoniyi and Osimhen?

Why didn’t you accuse drDoom3 who started the comparison?

You are really sick. This is confirmation you’re also a tribalist of the highest order.

Stop this Mr. Forgiveness. I never started anything, everything I said was in response to senseless comments you made. Stop being immature, like a child in the playground pointing fingers at other children, saying they started it and not him. Please, you can do better than this.

Well understood bro. But see ehn, Collins isn't the type of Defender I can bank on. I've been following the guy for a couple of years now. His growth is nearly stagnant. Recall our match against Algeria? Collins was non-existent. His wing was abused and Mahrez was always carelessly driving pass him for fun. The guy is too slow. I'll pick Sanusi, Bassey, and even Aina over Collins any time, an day.

What exactly did he say? I go like get the context before I comment.

And is your stats drawn from Club or national football?
There is no basis for comparison, but Ikpeba was not known as "Prince of Monaco" for nothing.
GWG speaking, Ikpeba had great competition he came against, unlike Iwobi. Iwobi still has many years and I am hoping he will add lots of goals and assists for club and country.

Whatever the case, our ex-players should never criticize current players in any shape or form. They should see the current players as family and only say things to encourage them.

zuchyblink:
Victor Ikpeba said that Alex Iwobi is not good forgetting that Iwobi has done more for the super eagles than him.
Iwobi vs Ikpeba
Iwobi- 48 matches,9 goals in six years while
Ikpeba-31 matches,7 goals in ten years

Incomplete story. Ikpeba may have scored less goals but he was a terror of an attacker. Please , let's respect the Prince of Monaco. Iwobi may have scored for SE but he has a long way to go.

I missed that he was referring to GWG. Someone remind me who was Ikpeba's competition in GWG.
Well I've said what I had to say.

Whenever I see Moses Simon in the line up I am always frustrated. Nigga brings absolutely nothing to the table. He has had his chances and I think we need to drop him.

He is perfect for a 4-4-2 he tends to be disciplined in his position and he helps out his defence

Terror how exactly? Abeg, let’s not rewrite history. Iwobi has been a good addition to super eagles when played at 8 position

They will find their usual excuse and say that he puts in defensive shift when his main duty isn’t to defend. I hope that he can at least deliver good crosses

Nigeria XI vs CAR

The Official Starting Lineup.

Ejuke on the Left. Simon on the right.

Onyeka and Aribo in the middle. Iheanacho slightly behind or up top with Osimhen.

Defence picks itself. Uzoho is back in goal.

Here we go! cool

Like I always said, the achievement of some of these ex-internationals (though excellent in their own time) are sometimes overrated jare

He wasn’t excellent for Nigeria. Infact, he was seen as an under performer for Nigeria. It’s at Monaco that he made his name

Please, we have too many defenders sitting on the bench and we don't need a forward to abandon his primary duties and start defending. This guy has been playing for SE for over a decade yet no improvements, no production. He has nothing more to offer. For goodness sake we have talents sitting on the bench.

He is already better than Collins, but hasn't kicked a ball for GWG. At club level how many games does Bassey have under his belt? I am not comparing both, I am just saying it's too premature to rate Bassey or to even compare him to any player. I have watched the lad and he does have potentials and that's it for now.

Cape Verde win over Liberia today further gives us an edge in securing qualification this international break... If the return leg in Paria ends in a draw or win for Liberia, then we are through to the playoff.. assuming of course that we collect maximum points from CAR

Ikpeba made his name at Monaco. For Nigeria, he was considered average. He is usually remembered for scoring a penalty against cameroun but placing his hands on his head and the referee disallowed the goal. It is Monaco that ikpeba became famous I.e “prince of monaco”

Iwobi has already scored more goals than ikpeba for Nigeria

Rohr is smoldering the huge potentials of this team that is loaded with talented youngsters. It's so painful. A 442 formation without a creative midfielder is brainless
