Yesterday I paid for diesel fuel at 290/liter in my area. I guess next it price would have added more there about.

What a time!!

I guess the price is for black market, but in filling station, that same yesterday it was 313/litres

I bought on monday in my office too at 290/litres, but I guess it would have increased to 295/litres...

God will help us in this country

Diesel had been deregulated....why are you expecting government to still have a hand in it....so tomorrow you can call the deregulation a scam

Its the usual forces of demand thats at play....and deregulation proponents have always said the price will be dictated by forces of demand and supply ....so why all this fuss

You now see the reluctance of government to fully deregulate petrol....until we have sufficient local capacity....it will be suicide as petrol may reach 500naira per litre

Do Nigeria has any reason importing Desiel or fuel Are Nigerians suppose to be buying petroleum product at the value of it price at the international market?? A resources that God has blessed us with.

Nigeriaans are not against total deregulation of the downstream oil sector
But the government should do the needful by fixing refineries and ensure they function at full capacity.
It is the elite that are benefitting substantially from subsidies not the average Nigerians

bleeped up country. When I went to fill up my 6kg gas yesterday i wept bitterly in my heart. Gas that I bought at 2400 for 6kg last 2 months is now selling for 4200 that is nearly a 100% increase.

I asked myself why should I buy gas at such exorbitant price in a state sitting in an ocean of natural gas. I concluded that some cabals are benefiting from the astronomical rise since the inception of this government.

Same yesterday around 8am I came out to my balcony only to see a pretty fair neighbour in the next compound who just wedded last year cooking with firewood. I later found out the the motorcycle her husband uses for daily hustle broke down last week and he couldn't fix it because the parts are now costlier than his budget. The pretty lady couldn't even afford either gas or kerosene, so she had to cook with wood.
One of my female neighbour who is a student took my stove when she could no more afford gas. Even the kerosene is not cheap. I think a liter is sold at about 300.

During the last administration when price of oil was higher in the international market petroleum products was not expensive in this country.

There is so much hunger in the land. People can not afford 2 square meals a day. The girls I see around are going into coded prostitution. The guys are majorly into internet fraud.
May affliction not rise the second time in 2023 in this country

This is why we all suffer - Suffering and Smiling - 99% of NDDC scholarship slots are shared between the wealthiest elite every year.. cabal here cabal there.. they are living breathing human beings around us and we don't know how to reach for a knife or used tyre.. but when soji steals a single loaf of bread because of hunger.. our anger rises against him and we burn him alive.. We deserve this wonderful cabal in Nigeria.. may they never die

Why are they complaining since the product is deregulated.... they shouldn't expect forex from government....they should source their forex from wherever since they sell at their price....government is not obliged to give them its scarce forex...
Then govt should stop deregulating forex too, allow it attain its true value.
How can a country be having multi forex regime... The same govt officials will get it at cbn window and sell it to nigerians at blackmarket price.

Can USA UK be fixed with increasing fuel prices, queue for fuel etc.

You people don't know what you want. On one hand you want market driven economy with capital growth and private investment, but love price control, fixed prices like we live in a bubble and insulated from world issues.

You want deregulation but don't want to swallow it's implications. Nigerians are a difficult set of people

I can see very clearly that one day this country naija will ablaze down by useless leaders who are not capable to rule properly. What buhar government is turning into? I think these people are leading us to exile. Now the price of diesel has jumped to #320 and this means we will buy fuel at #500 per litre.

Did you not ask for deregulation of the Oil industry? Or do you supported payment of subsidy by government.

If not for FG decision you should be paying at least 350 for petrol after all your mates in Ghana pay 400 naira equivalent

How will petrol reach 500naira per litre?
How?
Thought buhari promised to make petrol sale at 50naira and scrap anything called subsidy?
For ur info, these guys aint talking about deregulation, they r concerned about lack of access to forex to bring in diesel.
And the moman guys should stop ddnying the fact that 99percent of fuel, diesel and kerosene is being brought in solely by nnpc.

How much forex have you earned for the country to now expect it to be available everywhere or are you still a kid not to understand that our forex source has lost 50% of Volume with increasing demand every year?

What happens to you when your income gets cut by half? Do start throwing more frequent parties and the increase your savings and enjoyment?

Why then will adults expect life to improve in a time of such serious challenges? Some of you will still conspire to burn or support those who destroy public facilities

Well, we told you folks six years ago.
That there was no capacity.
All we spend our money on these days is insecurity and the much hyped 'infrastructure', all avoidable and symptomatic of failed leadership.

Infrastructure is hyped?
What kind of citizens occupy the space of Nigeria? If they are not engaged in banditry or kidnapping they will be in prostitution or fraud.

From their comments it's not difficult to know those who don't want to work but waiting for manna to drop.

All Nigeria spends on it's military, police, customs and all other security agencies combined is not up to half of what New York state spends on it's police department.
Yet we are expecting the results of Denmark and Norway that are far better than USA in terms of security. Yet we are populated by citizens who want to commit felonies and crimes at the drop of a hat ranging from running traffic lights, wife beating to hardcore terrorism.

Diesel has been deregulated, go and build a refinery to produce diesel and sell at 100 naira, we will buy your own. You can export the petrol to Ghana and sell at 400 naira a litre.

Have you approached oil companies or NNPC and they refused to sell crude oil to you in naira so you can refine it without need for forex?
Is that diesel more expensive than the price it is sold in the market of our OPEC peers?
In emerging markets like India, Indonesia, Malaysia, China or in advanced countries like USA UK Canada, most of them producing more Oil than Nigeria?

It's obvious you don't know the issues involved and can't crunch the numbers at the bottom of the matter. You just want practically free fuel even if the president must weewee into your tank.
