Question for the electrical gurus. I have NEPA light that’s adequately rationed in my area. The issue I have is low voltage, I get served around 80 to 110 volts.

Will the attached solve this situation? Any direct experience on this specific device?

Thanks.
I stay around Elebu and has the same issue. I currently have the 15kva relay version installed centrally and it works. But with frequent breakdowns....ensure you get the servo version to get a smooth experience.

Thanks.
I currently have a build around idi ope axis. Quite close to Alaaka-Mogana axis...

Like I said, mine is the relay version. I have been using for over 2 years now and I have had a total of 3 breakdowns. The first two were covered by warranty. I only paid 25k for the last repair. The main problem is getting the damn thing to Prag service centre, Obanikoro in Lagos and back to Ibadan.
On my visits there, all the service techs I met mentioned the same thing, that if I had bought the servo version, I would not have had those breakdowns. They mentioned that since I don't only have low voltage but also have fluctuations of voltage, the relay version will not handle well. I have not used the servo version, so, not sure of its durability.
Lastly, I do not really have a choice than to have a central stabilizer. Nothing works with those terribly low voltage. Without the device, I had to use my big generator for pumping water, microwave, washing machine...etc
For me, it is a worthy investment because I would have burnt more fuel on those activities I mentioned. So, it depends on you, if you are dependent on mainstream appliances. But if you have a solar pump for instance, your calculations will be different to mine!

Sir, 6 months down the line, I'll say its worth the investment. I bought the relay type from someone here( I actually preferred the servo, based on my research on and outside here but it was not available after I had already paid). I'll strongly recommend the servo type. You'll love it sir.

Nice review. I've only used mine for about 5-6 months now and I haven't had any breakdown, yet. Mine is smaller(12kva). So, i mounted it on the wall, near the window. I hope that the surrounding is kept cool and the stab itself is properly earthen.

If not, what needs to be added to make this happen...

I foresee someone taking Dangote out of business if this can be made possible. Grafitex can easily become an alternative to plastering in my opinion.

Is it the relay version you have or the servo?
Since it is a rented apartment, I opted for the one I can place on the floor. Unless I am left with no choice, I detest breaking the wall of a building. Surrounding is cool, with some ventilation available. I don't know about the earthen ooo....I just called a street electrician to install when I bought back in April 2019. How do I check if it was earthen?

Edit:
I just saw you bought the relay version. You probably have only low voltage without fluctuations. Trust me, if you have fluctuations, it is a matter of time for you to have a first breakdown. I hope I am wrong sha.

I’m on servo and I’ve not experienced any downtime after 6 months of install. The current in my area always fluctuate between 50 and 140.

We’re currently installing a 500kva transformer in my street to current this issh though.

We do have fluctuations( 70-250). There were times when the stab will be making that ‘spark’ sound continuously. Sometimes, it won’t even supply the apartment because the voltage would be too high. There’s a space for earth. You’ll see the indicator somewhere in the stab.
The electrician should know better.
My electrician made a separate earth for mine. I wasn’t comfortable with that initially because I needed to break a lil space in the compound. He showed me the indicator and told me that we need to do it, if I want it to last and function properly. I’ll be getting a much bigger servo soonest.

No. They can apply it directly though after applying a stabilising solution to make the blocks stronger, reduce consumption of the graffitex and give a smoother finish.

Thanks for this. You are super correct about that annoying ticking sound anytime there is a fluctuation. Maybe non-installation of the earth is even the reason for my frequent breakdowns. I will call in another electrician to take a look at it.

Yes it is. Instead of buying all those individual stabilisers for N30K or so for each device. I have three right now. One for my office, one for kitchen and one for my entertainment centre. I have to ON get to pump water or use AC.

I've decided on this one and I think it will serve my purposes. It has the low voltage capability 80volts., you should check yours too. Additionally it also conditions the line for over voltage and spikes.

The paint actually stayed on the block but the finishing is not smooth. Though it’s not deliberate screed.

I’ll give it a trial when the applicators come to do the fence.

Thank you Dotun, even with all the dramas you get yourself into sometime. One thing you most lean. Stop proving right with client when you have disagreements. You’re still a think tank of this platform, you always thinking of improving quality at minimum cost without compromising quality with a lot of innovation. I love the challenge you throw @ Gbadexy to come with a paint product that can do what you’re experimenting as scientists. Let start doing research on our little capacity to reduce our dependency on other people innovations.
