He played as an attacking midfielder (not his position) not a ss. The problem with Nigerians is that whenever they find a creative striker, their first instinct is to utilize him in midfield even though he is not a midfielder. The reason why I want iheanacho to always play is simply because of his “clinical finishing abilities” 3412 352 but never a 424
I asked some questions, no reply from you sir.

Kante was good at Caen that’s why he made it to the epl

I don’t know the point here that you don’t want to understand ,I repeat you cannot compare a player at Barcelona chances of making the national team to someone who plays at division 2

Any player that’s good will surely play top flight football even if it will take time

A 17 year old Barcelona player situation should not be compared to a division 2 player

For example if pedri was still playing at las palmas he won’t make the Spanish team

Nwakali will get the exposure he needed if he is doing well at the Spanish division 2 and by then maybe he will easily get a call up to the super eagles

isn't Umar Sadiq still playing in La Liga 2

Its not about doing well its also about the financial situations of clubs in Spain and the fact that they will support a spanish player doing well before they support another European not to talk of an African player...

Okocha was doing well at Bolton why didn't other clubs go for him

Nwakali is Nigerian and the Super Eagles should give caps to players like Nwakali even if its just 20 - 30 mins of football per match..

A 10 is a central midfielder that controls and dictate a game. Examples of 10 are zidane, okocha, Xavi, rui costa. Iheanacho isn’t one at all
An 8 is a support striker or shadow striker that plays literally behind the 9. Examples of 8 are dennis berghamp, Kanu, that’s where iheanacho can play. He can also play as a 9, simply because of his clinical finishing abilities

No one i believe should blame any player anymore.
They are playing well at their clubs.
How come they can not replicate their form on national level?
We keep bashing Onuachu but dude will keep scoring.
When we keep complaining of Simon's crossing but who have been crossing for us??
As talented as Ejuke is, how effective has he been in the SE?
I was blaming the players but lack of pattern and cohesion is becoming too apparent.
There are issues
We should not blame players for losing concentration during the match? Rohr should have run in to clear the ball na
We shouldn't complain of Simon's cross? Why? Rohr should come in to cross na
How many minutes/games has Ejuke played? Which one has he been underwhelming?

I'm not talking about merely passing the ball. Infact, our pre-rohr squad had a major problem even stringing passes together. Mostly Individual brillance got us goals then. I'm not trying to praise Rohr here. I think he has a problem of sticking to a pattern or style for longer than acceptable.

As for the game, we had several decent through passes that were blocked close to goal, especially from the wings, some ended as corners.
His major problem after the phobia for midfielders

John Ogu was the last midfielder that could pack a decent shot from outside the 18yard box.

There's not a single midfielder on our team who could do that now. Leicester has coached that ability out of Ndidi.

Remember it took Germany the eventual 2014 winner an extra time of 120mins football to outclass them... i bet they would have beaten any top Asian team in that round 16...even in group stage they hammered south Korea 4-2.
They were jus unlucky to meet a Nigerian team filled with individual stars to deny them 2018 WC[/q

Meet the unknown Karl Namnganda, of C.A.R, who plays for French fourth tier side Vendee les Herbiers. Nobody is talking about his brilliance ghosting past our Oyibo wall to upset us in Lagos. He is certainly underrated. If not for his brilliance we would have taken one point going into Sunday's game. All hail the underrated Osimhen of C.A.R grin . At 25 he is definitely a late bloomer. Hopefully he makes it to Ligue 1 someday.

I apologise for the way i talked to u the other day
But of A truth most persons will rate Oshimen ahead of Taiwo at the moment not easy to be the Seria A player of the month and also he has contributed more so far in taking Napoli to the level they're currently in the league and UEFA he has been involved in penalties that ensured their come back from goal down and even scored whopping goals in one of the most defensive disciplined league in europe but still Tiawo have been excellent too

Apologies accepted but it doesn’t mean if you misyan again I will not pay in kind.

However, nobody stops anyone from rating a player over another but it should be done with presentation of facts on ground and not with prejudice.

How can he lie Awoniyi is static and slow etc?

How come most of you looked away from that fallacious statement?

But you all were quick to attack me when I tried to put things straight. I believe you all agreed to that fallacious statement due to prejudice and sentiment.

However, we call this thread Super Eagles yen yen. Who is fooling who?

Some people are just deceiving themselves.

The problem is we lack personel in midfield. We are desperately in need of midfielders and so our criteria should not be too high. We need his skillset now. If he was a winger or striker nobody will mention him but our midfield options are too thin for us not to consider nwakali. We have to be realistic. Time is not on our side

We use to midfieders who can shoot from any angle,
sunday oliseh's goal against spain is still fresh in my memory.

I wonder why some people still have mind to compare this current team to our '90s to early 2000 teams.

There was a through ball Iheanacho passed to Osimhen leaving him racing into the CAR box 18 with only one CAR defender chasing beside him but Osimhen blew it away. I don’t know why he didn’t try to cut across the defender in the box 18 which could had fetched us a penalty peradventure the defender commits a foul on him or leave him facing the goalkeeper to beat.

That was the replica of the exact positions/situation Awoniyi scored two goals just recently.

However, Osimhen also had a clear chance to score in the second half when his ball hit the post (not sure what actually happened) but it fell to one player before it finally fell to Awoniyi whose shot was blocked.

The coach should show the clip of the match to them and tell them what to do when they find themselves in such circumstances.

An experience striker will definitely get something out from that Iheancho pass.

In short, I don’t want to hear Iheanacho didn’t do anything in that match. I beg to disagree because he gave a through pass that freed Osimhen in a perfect and comfortable position enough to do the damage.

Hence, I recommend we play 3-4-1-2 with Iheanacho occupying the 1 in that formation.

I believe we will score goals.

I mean his price tag will not be too high for them and they

Since he won’t be training the players week in and week out, it’ll be hard for a new coach to drop his philosophy on the players
we have 2 games left in this qualifying series plus Afcon, he’s coming to coach professional footballers not U-17 players, by the time Afcon start the players would have had a better understanding of his tactics

Iheanacho was my best player for that game,
anyone who said he didn't do anything in that march is not sure what he is sayin.

Osimhen usually bury that kind of chances,
i don't know y he was in rush to shoot instead of pushing forward a little bit.
I'm sure he must have taken correction

People keep harping on Iwobi as if he has ever solved our midfield headaches. Perhaps, we should ask if Iwobi is the only option available to us. Iwobi is best an 8 or a wing-midfielder not a controller like Amoo , Nwakali or Obinna Nwobodo.

All this players you mentioned are not in the same mould as Iwobi. We as humans just like new things.
