Iheanacho was my best player for that game,
anyone who said he didn't do anything in that march is not sure what he is sayin.

Osimhen usually bury that kind of chances,
i don't know y he was in rush to shoot instead of pushing forward a little bit.
I'm sure he must have taken correction

Iheanacho did very well. I don’t know what some people are saying here.

Honestly, I was surprised he missed that chance which was the best chance created by Iheanacho.

I hope he has taken correction because such doesn’t come many times against some teams

Admittedly, I didn't watch the match from scratch, due to other obligations. Began at the 60th minute.

But what I saw was abhorrent: Nigeria, against a team of part-time farmers, part-time construction workers, were spamming long balls forward.

Whatever happened to short passes.

Secondly the movement was absolutely horrendous. There were some times when the ball was swung into the box and all the players were camped in one zone attacking one another, rather than attacking the spaces.

Complete disorder.
Watched the highlights of the first half and I must say Nigeria were rampant in that half.

Not as bad a game as I thought. So I'm backing them in the return leg tomorrow.

Main problem I have with this team is the leadership.

24 year old Samuel Kalu is subbed in, Nigeria handed a FK from 40 yards and he shoots from that way out with Ekong and Balogun, senior figures, standing beside him.

I have never seen this in my entire life when a coach will name a squad and will name only 3 midfielders and like 8 attackers

So because ndidi etebo and iwobi are not available onyeka Aribo and bonke are the only midfielders we have In Europe ?

Na wa ooo

Its sad really

We are stuck with him till his contract runs out

Umar is having another good season at division 2 and he will leave to a better league and I am so sure of that

If nwakali is doing well At division 2 he will also move to a better league soon

England didn’t cap vardy while he was playing for fleetwood town

If nwakali is lucky he will be called up

England has the premier league which is ranked by FIFA as the number one league in the world which also has at least 160 English born playing in it, England will never ever need to look at the lower leagues for an English striker because of the 160 English players in the Premier League..

Gavi selection was not about luck or him doing well, it was about the coach's preferential treatment...

I am a Barca fan and I think Gavi is a Very good player ,but I am not sure he did enough to earn that call up

I just feel Enrique was trying to FAVOUR Barca players or pass a message to them

Most SA players are playing in SA. Hence they blend very well. They have a good league & good system .

Meanwhile i believe Sadiq Umar could end up in newcastle after their take over by Arab billoniares.
I mean his price tag will not be too high for them and they
are the richest club in town and will want to buy anybody.
Newcastle are like chelsea in 2004 after the Abrahamovich take over. I believe he will
succeed there

No disrespect to umar Sadiq ,but I honestly don’t think Newcastle will look his way

Those guys have more spending power than mancity and they will go for mostly high profile players ,only St maximim ,callum Wilson ,Miguel Almiron and Jamal lascales are sure to survive this new Newcastle

They are already thinking about getting Mario icardi,it’s all over the news

Don’t be surprise to see them bid for kalidou koulibally and offer him 300k weekly ,Baba go use speed leave Napoli grin

I know nigeria will make it from the group but the main issue is them winning the play off.

John Ogu was the last midfielder that could pack a decent shot from outside the 18yard box.

There's not a single midfielder on our team who could do that now. Leicester has coached that ability out of Ndidi.
While our own coach is doing even worse. He's fast becoming a liability to us.

We need Rohr out before its too late!

The problem is we lack personel in midfield. We are desperately in need of midfielders and so our criteria should not be too high. We need his skillset now. If he was a winger or striker nobody will mention him but our midfield options are too thin for us not to consider nwakali. We have to be realistic. Time is not on our side

Reason why I said if nwakali is lucky he will be called up ,maybe rohr don’t fancy

We have division 2 players in our current squad also

forgiveness:
There was a through ball Iheanacho passed to Osimhen leaving him racing into the CAR box 18 with only one CAR defender chasing beside him but Osimhen blew it away. I don’t know why he didn’t try to cut across the defender in the box 18 which could had fetched us a penalty peradventure the defender commits a foul on him or leave him facing the goalkeeper to beat.

That was the replica of the exact positions/situation Awoniyi scored two goals just recently.

However, Osimhen also had a clear chance to score in the second half when his ball hit the post (not sure what actually happened) but it fell to one player before it finally fell to Awoniyi whose shot was blocked.

The coach should show the clip of the match to them and tell them what to do when they find themselves in such circumstances.

An experience striker will definitely get something out from that Iheancho pass.

In short, I don’t want to hear Iheanacho didn’t do anything in that match. I beg to disagree because he gave a through pass that freed Osimhen in a perfect and comfortable position enough to do the damage.

Hence, I recommend we play 3-4-1-2 with Iheanacho occupying the 1 in that formation.

I believe we will score goals.

Forgiveness, my man.
At the words in bold, you didn't even bother to mention the name of the player that gave that pass to Osimhen.
