Some of them do it to reduce fuel consumption especially if the trip is towards the area they are going to, some do it to while away time, some do it to look for a way to just go out esp if they are freelancers/ work remotely, some do it to improve their relational skills esp if their 9-5 is customer service inclined....so many reasons (though minor) can make one become a bolt/Uber driver
