-When CBN received the request to transfer the funds from Nigeria to Caribbean tax haven from Gabriella named after his daughter. They won't have known it was coming from a Politically Exposed Person(PEP) like Peter Obi. On paper and the processing documents it would have shown the fake nominess directors from Europe/Asia/North America/Middleeast were trying to transfer funds after completing a certain service in Nigeria and remitting back to their home base.

This is my take. After he entered office he realised as a Politically Exposed Person (PEP) every financial transaction in his name both locally and internationally will follow closer scrutiny. And whatever reason he money he wanted tranfered from Nigeria to one of the tax havens in the Carribbean.

He wanted the trappings of power,but did'nt like the scrutiny that comes with been a PEP person. He needed to find a way to transfer the funds to the Caribbean without CBN knowing he was the ultimate beneficary and procured and paid for the services of the firm that specialise in helping African politicians like him and other PEP people move money out of the country to various tax havens.
