I don’t know if this thread is ok considering the security situation in the country. Maybe as long as no names are mentioned then it should be fine, I guess

You come across as an over careful fellow or over protective fellow. You remind me of an aunty who used to fuss so much over details others are not seeing or ignoring....It's kind of nice sometimes though. But don't always push it...

Your concern is quite valid. That's the reason why I didn't leave any traceable hint about my former boss and I didn't encourage anyone to do that when sharing their experience.

Yes, reason i dont want to leave my oga for now.

He's rich but stingy, even people do complain but a no care

With dem u learn these

1)frugality (with money)

2)a little callousness (it's good for business minded people else u wil run at lost due to some unnecessary charity u wil be doing) grin

3)time management

4)decision making

5)act of business management

6) Customer relationships
Exactly.
Igbo boy who served his master and was settled with princely money will still stay behind and continue serving his oga, then open a shop for his younger brother/sister/mother etc to manage for him.
Cos he know there's no freedom that equals the experience, contacts and referrals he will get.
Most times in d end,you become 'family'

To work with elite men or people of high calibers, you gotta buy into their reality and make it yours

Nothing like your own life or career path, must align with theirs else you'll be tagged unloyal.
from experience i understand this very well. I was tagged disloyal for making major life decisions for myself.

Elite is relative oo

Mine was with an international NGO head of security. Didn't know the oyinbo was a former elite commander of a special force.

What I learned from working under that guy ehnnn, am sure none of the niaja security architecture have such knowledge.

Only "Low IQ & Poor People" reason this way. I'm absolutely sure you have never had "Ten Million Naira" In your account which Is solely yours. Because someone who does would never alter such statement. There will always be a time you Just want to be away for some moment and Cut everyone off Just to recharge without being bothered how much you will lose for that period. When your hand begin to touch enough money, Your Mentality will Change. You will understand TIME Is the main thing.....

I summarised everything, money is not everything, peace of mind is key also.

I worked with the person for over 6 months and mine really had no closing time, I was basically wherever the person is even if it means travelling and most of the travelling were impromptu, I could finally have a time to sleep and within 4mins a call would come in “meet us at the airport in 30mins, we are going to Benin”

My free time which was mostly small was always used to finalise works done on outings, it’s something you can’t understand until you finally do such job.

Your time become their time and the pay ain’t even equal to the job even though it was around 400k then but I wasn’t really able to do another job even wasn’t able to run my own personal company then.

No work schedule
No time frame.

Well, you have mentioned something significant "run my personal company".
Apart from that,hmmm.
The person no de rest?
Cos if he's resting, you can be resting too.
Besides you apparently do not do domestic work for him also so you could also rest when the domestic staff take over.
Well,to each,his own.

I work for a billionaire, They don't really care about you, they have sweet mouth, they liking using you like you are not human, they don't really care if you have your own life..

They are not so good with connections, don't get me wrong what I mean is this, they will never give you that connection you need to breakthrough, you have to do that on your own if you are not lucky or unwise, don't even mention your dreams to them, they will not feel too happy about it, especially if it doesn't benefits them

The cons was the reason why I stopped working with my super rich client in 2020,

I was always on flight 24/7, high events from abuja, lagos, benin and co, always on job and apart from the money I was earning, she was the one paying for all the expenses since I was mostly with her.

I resigned because I wasn’t having time to myself , I was being wasted grin

Here we have the genius, The goal Is to always serve and be loyal to them for a period of time then zoom off and build your own financial freedom. Unfortunately This MINDSET Is not for everyone though, the reason why many people slay their entire life away for peanuts......

You are the low IQ person here.
Opportunity comes but once.
Intelligent ppl work terribly hard in their youthful days, and relax in your later days. Some may decide to retire at 45 sef after working hard in their earlier days.
Na your type go use your first salary go marry cos you want "steady fork"
Na immediate gratification na im de kill una wey be Africans hence you see a man working like donkey in his 70s because he was always "having time for himself" in his youthful days.

That was way back in 2011,I was just working in a lawyer's law firm,in order to save money for my admission.... Mennnnnnnn, the lawyer Owed me up to Four months salary and was having the i-don't-care attitude....The painful part was that most times he used to discuss how much he has been sending to his son who was schooling in the U.K......
I was fed up and I confronted him.. immediately after he paid me my salary, the next day when I went to work,i met the office locked and everything that was inside was packed out grin. Na then I realize say mennnnnnnn I've been sacked in a polite way grin

Does it means that your boss went bankrupt?

I worked with a super millionaire in Dolphin Estate. He travelled out of the country and kept about 1.5m cash with me to be disbursing to people he wanted to help. At that time in was struggling to pay for my son's WAEC registration. I sent an email requesting for a loan of 10k from my boss. He turned me down straightaway. I vex, and I took 10k from the money he kept with me. When he came back, I explained to him that I was frustrated to take the 10k that he should deduct it from my salary. He said he didn't give me approval to take from his money and that am a thief. I tried to explain that if I don't pay the WAEC money at that time and the registration closes, it means that my son would not write WAEC that year. He refused to listen to my excuse. The following day, na mouth he take sack me o.
Because of work when no dey country, only una go dey use unaself do slaves. No employment letter detailing your responsibilities and renumeration but una go jump enter say una get work.
