So what's the problem?

Why are you crying out for help as if your child being a genius is a very terrible thing.

Attention seekers everywhere!!!

I just pray that your genius child will grow up to teach you the proper use of "I am" in a sentence.

Nonsense. angry

There are some set of people all they see is negativity. May God help you.

All I will need to say is that, be careful of what you feed this brilliant girl of yours>
I mean TV contents, videos and words you say around her.

She might be a great Programmer too but it depends on what she really wants to be in life.

ntrukpum:
Hello friends, my daughter is very far ahead of her peers (class mates and outsiders) academically and otherwise. She started school when she was 2yrs. 3wks in school she had already knw how to write 1 to 10, A to F (I mean write not just to read).

Now she is 3yrs and she does things extraordinary. She can write 1 to 200, Aa to Zz without anybody assistance. She does her H/W alone, can read and spell two letter words. She sings a lot. I wanted her to play at least one musical instrument b4 she turns 5.

Two yrs ago, I had this vision of grooming "exceptionally intelligent" kids btw 9-12yrs to study outside their normal school curriculum. I mean a 9yr old kid in JS1 answering physics and advance maths question. Am still working on it. But my child is just 3yrs old and i am begining to be afraid. Married with two kids, an average of 30k monthly income as a private school teacher, I think, I lack the financial resources to push my daughter to where she deserves.

I need proper advice on how to guide her now.

Oga calm down. Why are you like this? Go back and read the thread and what notification he saw. Stop vilifying him because someone decided to help him. It is not your money. If he is entitled, you are jealous!

He received notification of mail from his benefactor but couldn't open the mail on his feature phone. Did you see where he acknowledged receiving the payment? You will not see that, bad belle and jealousy will not allow. Just look at you.

But why should I be jealous? The Benefactor is a good guy and he's handled several of my projects (at least you know I'm not hungry and can't be jealous as you mentioned).
I'm not too surprised cuz that's the typical 9ja folks for you. Just like we read this morning abt someone that poisoned his friend.

Anyway, madam... You're MADDD! angry

Whatever you do, don’t place a 9years old in jss1 because they are a “genius” - they will live to regret it. I was a victim of this same thing, you might be more intelligent than older students but you can’t be as mature as they are so it is likely to lead to identity issues later on as you can’t really get along with them. It’s not worth it

You are not a better Nigerian yourself, you are very typical. You are just who you are. Next time calm down and read threads with open mind not with your bad belle looking for faults upandan.

This is the kind of advice seeking posts that should be gracing the front page on nairaland.
Now back to the topic. I doubt there are schools for the gifted in Nigeria. You have to work extra hard to ensure your kid stays in the path. Its your homework sir. Please groom that genius well

That's great. Without being modest, my 3 year old daughter already knows the first 20 elements, Theory of relativity, S.I Unit measurements of speed, acceleration, force, pressure, current, resistance and temperature, rivers and mountains as well as interest in geography and astronomy. The key is teaching them when young. The brain of a little child can absorb anything. You just need to put things there whether it is Naira Marley lyrics or science or maths you want for your child. I teach her new things everyday while also making her remember what she learnt the previous day. Whenever I am driving her and her elder sister to school, we do a recap of everything. Now they find it enjoyable and are making me proud.

Open social media accounts for her, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube where you will be showcasing her academy prowess.

Few years from now with consistency, those social media accounts will not only bring money that you will use to give her the best of education but a millionaire.

Mark my word.

KHAN ACADEMY!!

Get her on Khan Academy.

You can print the worksheets at your school.

If you can, buy foreign curriculum books at used bookstores.

Get her a language video or textbook for kids.
Especially languages like French (Europe, Africa and Canada), Spanish (USA), German (free tuition university).

Expand beyond just 1 + 1 is 2. There are other ways to engage and expand her mind.
