Rohr's team at present isn't functioning properly..you do not need world class players in every department to be a decent side...proper coaching and team synergy can always make a team perform at a way higher level than the talents of it's individual team members.....the Senegal side of 2002 and Ghana side of 2010 are recent African examples of such.

If Rohr was coaching his native Germany..you can almost bet that he will make San Marino look special.

Egypt is currently the 6th ranked nation in CAF and they are at 48 globally. Even if we drop in ranking, it would be mathematically impossible to drop 14 spots and have Egypt supplant us in the rankings. All things considered, we can still drop a few spots, remain 5th in Africa and still be placed into pot 1 if we move onto the next round.

In other words, Pot 1 is pretty much secured. We just need to qualify from this round.

I used to think the NBBF was better too... but it became clear that they were capitalising on the many basketball talent we have in the US to make a name for themselves..

Our basketball league has been off for like 3 years now due to fighting between the federation... They organised a one week league just to produce a representative for the BAL..
Money from Kwese and DStv sponsorship of the league remains unaccounted for..
