Brainwash where?.

By the way, I didn't do Igbo in school. So, anyone you chose to call ( arlu or Alu) it is fine. So long as you understand what I mean.

There is a bird called 'orofo' in Yoruba language. I'm a descendant of Olu Oje, and we are forbidden from killing less eating this bird. Who will eat an 'Orofo' anyway? Birds as little as hummingbirds?

Do you mean achi the thickener?
We don't eat it too but not that we forbid it. We just prefer the consistency that ofor, ukpo and ede give.

. Are you from delta state? Ozoro to be precised?

ozoro is an Isoko town

Isoko have strong culture especially the one that pertains to marital affairs
An Isoko woman told me that if a married woman commits adultery and she does not confess, the husband and children will die if they eat anything cooked by her.

We don't forbid any food in my place but I haven't seen or heard any of my town person eating or ate Dog meat.

Again, as guy or man, you dare not give your shi-shi to a lady or woman to do abortion. If you try am, na wahala.

Make i stop here

At the bolded, I believe it's just fear. Most of these taboo or whatever is based on fear. It's natural for humans to not dare what they fear, but curiosity and experiments over the years has made people realized that most of these taboo is false and superstitions.

Snail. We are not allowed to touch snail in my culture. Not to talk of eating it. People come from other places to pick snail from our place. We are also not allowed to sell them. The snails just fill the whole bush.
