Secondly, avoid eye contact. Just take a glance and keep speaking without paying attention to the listener. With time, you will adjust.

It’s ok,I feel the same way too . Though I used to be very social before but some things changed.try to go out more often,I mean to busy places like the mall or and remember to pray.
Most of the time when people talk to me , I try to avoid eye contact and try to move back to prevent them touching me

What are you anxious about in the first place?

In my freshman year in uni back in the days, I once met a professor at the walkway in one of the faculties in school and politely asked for directions to where I was going and he obliged by pointing me in the right direction.. Simple courtesy solves so many problems in life but most people don't know.

If you don't know how to use words like 'please', 'thank you' and 'I'm sorry' even when you're not wrong, please learn. Job seekers too need to take note.

Get yourself a mirror that can show you your full height and body size and start daily by practicing looking into that mirror and start talking to yourself in that mirror,...in your mind, see your other self that is reflecting in the mirror, I want you to see that your image that is reflecting in the mirror as a total stranger and that you're speaking to that total stranger.

As you're Wisely practicing what i've told you to do, pay attention to yourself, be very self conscious, pay attention to the tone of your voice, your posture, the way you gesticulate and so on (check your dictionary for the word gesticulate).

As you're steadfastly practicing this my wise counsel, you'll not only be able to identify your mistakes, you will also correct them expertly as well grin

I'm 24 years old guy and anytime i try to talk to a stranger or under any slight pressure my voice gets shaky and i become incoherent. It's affecting my social life and most especially my self esteem.

It was not as bad as this before but now it has getting worse. I can't even strike a conversation with a stranger without getting worried that i will probably embarrass myself. There's nothing i have not tried aside drugs. Currently, i have no Social life whatsoever. No gf, I have never even approach a girl in my life although i have been in a relationship. It all Started from being friends and the girls made the move.

Two weeks ago, i was in an office and while trying to explain some things to who i went to see it happened and the man asked if I want to cry cry . I really felt down and embarrassed. It happened again the same day in another situation and the i was asked if i was feeling okay. I had to say that's how my voice is.

The thing is that it's not just my voice, my hands also get really sweaty and it shakes too and my heart beat fast but it's the shaky voice that's obvious. Please i need y'all advise on what i can do or use. It's really making feel depressed and I'm suffering from low self esteem with no friends at all.

Then i started working in a restaurant on the island, attending to big men and meeting people and it built my confidence....
