mialate: Real mud. I was in festac today to find out whats up with the passport.
First Question an Immigration Officer asked me is : who is the officer handling your file? I asked her what do you mean by officer , she said the person who took you to capture? I told her i am doing it myself , then she directed me to Servicom office.
At Servicom office, they asked what date i captured, i told them last month, the look on their faces simply gave me the answer( meaning- you will wait a long time for it).
I dont understand why they cant remove the 32 pages section from the NIS portal and let people pay for 64 pages. Now, we have to wait or pay ridiculous amounts for same 32 pages passport they claim isnt available that its just 64 pages.
Bad Governance.

Nigerian system has made surviving for the common man really difficult.
Assuming there was an assurance of getting my passport which I DIY i will gladly accept to wait. But as it stands now if I have 70k and have assurance of getting the passport within 2 days i ll pay the money. than wait 2+ months.
Nigeria system is in the mud. Pls if you need your passport, just migrate to 64 pages by paying another money. That's what I did for my baby.. |

Have gotten your passport? If yes, How long did it take in the E status. Thecvbankng: Just left Ikoyi passport office and my fresh passport status is E. Anyone with the actual meaning of this status? The immigration officer announcing sadly did not help.
The last time I went there three weeks ago, it was AA |

The Newly enhanced e-passport - Validity and Cost
- 32 pages valid 5 years is N26, 000 - 64 pages valid 5 years is N35, 000 - 64 pages valid 10 years is N70,000
NOTE: These prices are valid for only three states; Lagos, Abuja and Rivers and all ages will pay same price for ONLY these 3 locations.
For the rest of the 33 states, price is as follows;
- 32 pages valid for 5 years N17,800 - 64 pages valid for 5 years N23,000
NOTE: Children less than 16 and adults 60 and above pay 11,000 for 32 pages which is valid for 5 years.
Also, be aware you'll be paying online, not like before where you pay exorbitant amount on counter, based on who you know.
If you are applying in Nigeria, You don’t need any immigration officer to help you. Simply pay online, print your receipts and forms online and go with all your documents to their office.
Any documentary requirements that will be asked are specifically stated on the portal below.
https://immigration.gov.ng/standard-passport/
Then when you want to apply online, click on fresh passport, if you have never had a passport.
If you have had a passport click on renewal

After filling retire it to the "ServiceCom" person . He or she will open a file for you and write places you have to go for signing and stamping.
After stamping in one place, ask the person "where is next" politely and follow through the process.
When you're done with capturing, before stepping out of the capturing hall, a man will collect your file and register it.
After that, take your file back to the "ServiceCom" personnel and your DONE.
Ikoyi Office was used as a case study, if you’re within Lagos state Alausa Passport Office is highly recommended Copied Hi. Please while filling the form should it be capital letter or just the first word capitalized? Anyone can answer too 1 Like 1 Share |

I had this issue too during my application online. Payarena debited me after their site had issue and i ended up repaying through NetPost pay. Contact Payarena and NIS on Twitter and I suggest you mail them both too. NIS have a refund policy if dual payment is made on a single application Abeg helpppppp i paid today too and wahala wan tie wrapper..NIS advised me not to try any payment |

I do hope you have contacted your bank first to log a dispense error debit query to the receiver of funds.
1. What I suspected must have happened was that the payment went through but Payarena was unable to generate the required codes and receipt to prove successful payment. I was not debited instantly (since the transaction was not initiated on a working day) but on checking my mobile app i noticed that the said amount had been deducted from my available balance. 2. I repaid right after. Hoping that they won’t deduct the money twice. This time i used NetPost pay. The transaction was successful and I received a debit from them. I was also debited by Payarena the next working day. 3. No I didn’t. I just needed the application to go through so I could go for registration/capturing. 4. Around 2-3wks. 5. I think that has been answered already.
After i had bombarded NIS HQ with several calls and mails i was advised to mail uukuso@newworkssolution.com and he was quite helpful and reassured me of reimbursement. It will be good to note that Payarena denied ever receiving those funds on all counts. So I advise everyone not to use their merchant for future DIY
I paid via Payarena Does anyone know how long it'd take

I wrote a mail and copied support of both new works solution and immigration and one other mail that is reserved for high commission something something (found it on nis website) stating the issue with application, reference and transaction id.
I also sent a separate mail to Saanapay cause I didn't even know which of them was meant to effect the update. Did this on Thursday
I received a response the next day with why it didn't reflect and was told a refund has been initiated.
Sent a mail to Saanapay with the ref code nis sent to show refund was initiated and copied the emails stated above. Did this on Monday
Was refunded on Tuesday.
Mind you Saanapay never responded, it was just new works and NIS support that responded my mails. Hi Please Which platform is the best to pay through? |
