Yes, the first thing you would cite is insecurity, but I did my NYSC in Borno. So the few information I shall share here is firsthand. To begin with and based on the topic, Borno state government pays #1O,OOO to all corp members for 12 months and #15,OOO on the 13th month. Second, with high rate of insecurity in the country at the moment, Maiduguri remains one of the most secured place in Nigeria. Yes!!! Feel free to quote me. So long you are in the capital of the state you are safe. Third and lastly for now, the people of Maiduguri are very accommodating...very welcoming... very homely. Niger State doesn't pay corpers and you hardly see a ppa that pays.
Also, the electricity is bad and accomodation is getting really expensive esp in the State capital.

Usually, they complain about the inability of the Lagos state govt to pay them state allowance. So, how did Lagos get on the list? Also, I had my NYSC programme in Bayelsa. I was posted to Okpoama in Brass LGA — a community situated across the wide area of water. And after my programme, the state government paid those of us that served across water about 110k (10k/month), and about 65k (6k/month) for those on land. So, how did u exempt Bayelsa from the list?
