I appreciate your quick response. The source of income is from her business which isn’t registered. And yes the funds can cover for myself and 2 siblings. Ketima: |

Omiinii: In the case of someone that runs a restaurant business or a bar? Don't you think he can't provide an invoice for such business? This is because the services doesn't require an invoice. |

Thanks a lot. Both schools are in Ontario, so they might have the same community of Nigerians, but you can put their names on the search bar here and you will get people who have done something with the schools and reach out to the individuals directly and ask your questions. [/quote] |

Titan1295: Hello Titan, your question is right but then look at this this way. How much is the tuition of Greatomounmi. If you combine total of that plus living expenses, can that kind of small scale business fetch that kind of fund? VO are trained to ask how come this and that? And again VO don't care if is small scale or big scale, all the want is, if you said this business is the source of this POF before me, prove it to me. So applicants must have to prove it. That's why is is adviced that if source of POF is business, kindly submit CAC, TAX clearance (if applicable), waybill and invoices etc. So even if na bar she runs and don't give invoices to customer's who come to eat nd drink, but she buys drinks and should request for invoice/waybill from them. That can suffice too. Greatomowunmi: Please as someone has said. Since the money in her personal account is from her business. She needs to provide evidence of the existence of the the business and how the money came about. So pls let her register it, get invoices, Waybill, tax and dues payment ( local government etc) picture of business ad all that. My own view though. The gurus will guide you better 2 Likes |

It's almost the same thing just advanced. I don't have a restaurant and I may not be conversant with the method of operations but if you're not using the lame man's business invoice. Then, the next best thing to monitor a restaurant inventory involves point of sale systems, barcode scanners, and electronic records. All these should link to the actual inventory count and these database can be used as proof of operations. Other documents will back up it up as well. If every transaction tallies and you can explain all these in your SOP. I'm not even sure VO get time to check all your inventories but at least the effort will convince him/her especially if you have registered the company. Titan1295: |

Guys, I need your help, so my application was refused based on financial reasons, asides my sponsor paying my Tuition fee of about 17kCaD there was no other financial commitment, though I submitted his 2 of his corporate account bank statements closing 22million in one account n the other which is a DOM acct has a closing balance or 203,000USD, letter of sponsorship, affidavit of sponsorship. Now to reapply, my sponsor is willing to transfer my 2years of living expenses and my tuition balance to me all sums up to 30kCAD, Can he pay this money into my personal account once or I open a DOM acct for him to pay it into at once? Guys pls I need your urgent advice. |

Great People and Gurus. I am here again. I believe it is better to ask and get clarification for any uncleared issue than to make mistakes. So kindly pardon my continuous questions. Now to the question. I have keenly observed that lots of people are getting refusal relating to finance and a larger percentage of them used sponsors. I am married with 2 kids and going a 2years program with Co-op. Sadly i will only have 20k CAD left after 1year tuition fees payment. Will that amount be enough for self sponsor? I wants to ask so I could avoid challenges/poor documentation will proving business and relationships of sponsors. |

makano: Thanks a lot, Makano. I believe I didn't do a very good job with my SOP. As regards the loss of Job, I started a business of importing gadgets and selling them here but unfortunately, I couldn't get my CAC registration until 5th August 2021. I recently just opened a corporate account for my business last month and, before then I've been using my personal bank account for my business activities. Once my GCMS note drops I'll share it here as advised. Gracias. |

Happy Sunday guys, please I need an urgent answer to this, for those that have used Flywire for their tuition payment, how does it work with form A, coz the exchange rate am seeing on flywire website is outrageous OMO!!! almost 500# to 1CAD. I also figured out I can pay with online Local Bank Transfer on flywire(does online local bank transfer in NGN on their website mean the FORM A) ??, if am to use the local bank transfer are they still going to charge me with their rate or normal CBN rate? Thanks for your reply. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Bobomaigida: 11:24am On Oct 17, 2021 |
Tito87: Hi Tito, the issue, I believe is the unfavourable disposition some VOs have with applicants presenting sponsors with funds in their corporate account, I think that they don not know how corporate business work here, if I may ask, the letter of sponsorship, was it executed by the company or just your sponsor? Then what is the relationship you have with the sponsor or the company, VOs might think that there is no relationship between you and the sponsor so why would they spend so much to pay for your education? Your sponsor can move the funds to you and you do a gift deed for the funds and you state it in your LOE. The funds can be in ur dom or naira account , preferably dom to preserve the value. |

Perfectyyyyyy: Hi Perfect, Will you be travelling with your two kids and your husband? The key is really is to show that funds will be available to take of you and your dependents whether they are coming with you or not, if your kids are coming with you, at least 1 year living expenses must be available(10,000+8000= 18000) plus other things like flight ticket etc. That being said if your husband has any funds he can also add his own to, and you present him as a co-sponsor, but then you have to show what he does and how he earns income that he will be using to support himself after contributing funds for the educational expense. |

feistymikey: Hi Mikey, have you gotten your GCMs notes? LOE is responding to the concerns of the VO one by one with reasons to counter those concerns. There is no universal format to writing LOE, but you can search on this site for additional guidance. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Bobomaigida: 11:47am On Oct 17, 2021 |
kennyjoy: If you are using flywire, the payment to be made is also shown in USD, that amount in USD is what you are supposed to present at your bank to be paid through form A, however, the rate used by flywire is valid for 3 days which means that your bank must move the funds within 3 days or the rates might change and you might have a short fall. Forget the online transfer in NGN, except you have the funds and can afford it, only form A will give you CBN rate. 1 Like |

Once again thanks. I am a male. My wife and kids would be staying behind. My wife is employed so she would have enough to take care of herself and kids. In additional to that, I have a Haulage truck what would be generating fund for them and for other purposes while I am away. Bobomaigida: |

Perfectyyyyyy: Apologies for the mistake, if you are able to make the funds in your account up to 30000 CAD that will be very good, though there are some people that had less and they got PPR. You have strong home ties that you will show, is the haulage business registered? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Teemenzo: 12:01pm On Oct 17, 2021 |
kennyjoy: Hello, you have to register yourself in flywire platform first. Click on new payment, then input your school and amount in CAD. Different means of payment will be generated. The outrageous amount you saw is the one that you can do directly from your account "on the go", like a mobile banking thing. But pls scroll down, you will see international nank transfer in USD, that is the best option. But please take note, you will take it to the bank with you Printed bio data page of your passport (color), your unconditional or conditional letter of acceptance, the invoice you generated on the flywire platform and the color photocopy of your original degree certificate. Also, it might take up to a week or two before you are debited in your naira account. God's speed. 9 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Lekiboboe: 12:10pm On Oct 17, 2021 |
feistymikey: LOE - Letter of Explanation The theme of a LOE is geared more towards the re-applicants (after their visa has been rejected in past). In this case, the applicant will start first-half of the letter by explaining what went wrong in previous applications and on what ground it was rejected. How those issues are addressed in the present application. In the later part of the letter the usual SOP stuff goes in. See the link below for Letter of Explanation (LOE) to address/tackle refusal reasons (Format and Sample in Video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvi9p14sz5g 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Please take this form to your bank that was used to pay the money. They will provide you with the correct information to use for 5he refund. When I did a refund from a school, I used Zenith bank Dollar account for payment and the bank referred me to my account officer who did justice to all the needed information.
