I received my letter for medical on the 23rd of Septemberand I was given a 30days deadline to do it… I was scheduled by IOM to do it on the 21st of October. My question is isn’t the date too close to the deadline for doing and submitting my medical details
Since its within the 30days, just do it

Hello, you have to register yourself in flywire platform first. Click on new payment, then input your school and amount in CAD. Different means of payment will be generated. The outrageous amount you saw is the one that you can do directly from your account "on the go", like a mobile banking thing.

But pls scroll down, you will see international nank transfer in USD, that is the best option. But please take note, you will take it to the bank with you Printed bio data page of your passport (color), your unconditional or conditional letter of acceptance, the invoice you generated on the flywire platform and the color photocopy of your original degree certificate.

Also, it might take up to a week or two before you are debited in your naira account.

God's speed.

Thank you so much, I appreciate.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by viviangogos(f): 12:43pm On Oct 17, 2021
You will see the international bank transfer option which is generated in USD. This rate may still be a lil higher than cbn rate though, maybe cause that is their own interest.( but not very much) Once invoice is generated, use that to go to bank to access payment via form A. You will be charged cbn rate for the amount being paid. You will need to submit your degree certificate too for most banks.

kennyjoy:
Happy Sunday guys, please I need an urgent answer to this, for those that have used Flywire for their tuition payment, how does it work with form A, coz the exchange rate am seeing on flywire website is outrageous OMO!!! almost 500# to 1CAD. I also figured out I can pay with online Local Bank Transfer on flywire(does online local bank transfer in NGN on their website mean the FORM A) ??,
if am to use the local bank transfer are they still going to charge me with their rate or normal CBN rate?

Thanks for your reply.

@Bobomaigida and Others

Yes. The haulage is business is registered and I have some invoice as well as receipts for some transactions. But but the business account balance is relatively small because the nature of the business is often hand-to-hand transactions.

Lastly, I was denied a Uk vis in year 2018 for unexplained lump sum. However I immediately address the issue and got the 6months visa. Travel and retuned. Now, should I mention the refusal in my study visa application or hide it since it was addressed and visa issued?

Bobomaigida:

Apologies for the mistake, if you are able to make the funds in your account up to 30000 CAD that will be very good, though there are some people that had less and they got PPR. You have strong home ties that you will show, is the haulage business registered?

Thank you so much!!! Oh I see that even FBN said I will have to write a letter of authorization for them to debit my acct when I called. Can you please suggest any of this bank that can fast track the payment.
I bank with FBN, GTBANK, WemaBank and Access.

Good afternoon Bosses,

I started importation of gadgets business after my job loss last year. I've been using my personal savings account for my business.

Fast forward to August 2021, I registered my business but still using my personal savings for transactions.

I only recently just created a corporate account without much activity.

Question:

Can I present my CAC documents with receipts alongside my savings account or I'll need to present the Corporate account?

N.B: I was just refused last week "I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status".

Gracias.

LOE - Letter of Explanation
The theme of a LOE is geared more towards the re-applicants (after their visa has been rejected in past). In this case, the applicant will start first-half of the letter by explaining what went wrong in previous applications and on what ground it was rejected. How those issues are addressed in the present application. In the later part of the letter the usual SOP stuff goes in.

See the link below for
Letter of Explanation (LOE) to address/tackle refusal reasons (Format and Sample in Video)

Always good to declare all past denials, since they will be on record, your travel history will be stated on the IMM forms too, so they will see that.
The haulage business is good for home, the funds in the account does not mean much, just make reference to it that you want to come back with skills to grow the business and while you are away it will be running. Submit all CAC documents on the business during application.

If everything go well...and your results are normal...IOM will send to IRCC within 24hrs since you already have IMEI No....

This I can at least say for IOM Abuja...did my med exam in 14th, got a text that it has been sent to IOM on 15th, Medical passed on 16th.

Today is already 17th, I would have advised you call IOM and explain your situation but not really much can be done at that again.

I have read that FBN does not do third party payment but preferable pays to the school forgetting some schools only accept payment from international students via third party. Me I used Zenith bank for direct dollar payment, so was not form A. For the form A, I used Stanbic IBTC, I did not have an account but had to open one cause of this purpose., they are fast but it all depends on availability of fx too. From what I have read, UBA, Eco bank and Stanbic are all fast for Form A. Someone on this thread used Access for form A too and said it worked fast.( I think it was Teemenzo, please check with him to confirm)
Anyway, due to the recent updates on the Fx availability since they stopped BDC, I think FX availability have been better hence you can use the Access bank to process.

If you are stopping first at Toronto , you will be given at Toronto .

I used Ethiopian airline and they had a stop at Toronto before my final destination (Vancouver).

I was given permit at Toronto and that was it.

ok thanks. Did they question you at all why you are stopping in Toronto 1st ?or they knew you were still proceeding to Vancouver immediately

Yeah SP is issued at your first POE... my friend got hers in Toronto before proceeding to Calgary ( she used Ethiopian airline too). I do not think it's a problem to visit your family in Toronto as long as you are fully vaccinated and cleared as one at entry...

All the best

I am fully Vaccinated.Another thing is are we to still book for quarantine whether Vaccinated or not? or if you are exempted once you are Fully Vaccinated

Now from what you said, your mum has a good balance in her personal account and also has a business that isn't registered yet?

First, The funds in her personal account, is from what source? Is the money from the business or she is employed? Cos you need to show poof of how the money comes. If she is an employee, she need to show empowerment letter, ID card, payslips etc likewise for business, you have to show some documents to back up the source of fund.

Again, will the money in personal account cover your entire expenses and still have enough for your sibling's back home ( I presume you have siblings). You have alot to tell us here.

Why I'm asking is, if the money in her personal account is much that it can take care of your expenses and still remain for your siblings, then no need for business account. Again, if the money in her personal account isn't coming from business but as being employed, then you don't need the business account for POF.

But you guys should try and register the business no matter what so that you can use that in your home ties that will be bringing you back to manage after your studies.

That's the little I can say from my lay man's perspective. But try to answer the questions I asked.

Thanks you.
I agree with this but my 2kobo is register the Business as a corporate entity but if they see the date of the registration on ur Certificate of Incorporation, it could be a red flag o.Just pray that the V.O does not look at the date of Incorporation.

You can also add your wife's appointment letter showing how much she earns as a form of evidence to show there is enough fund for them to take care of themselves in your absence. My little contribution
Perfectyyyyyy:
Once again thanks.

I am a male. My wife and kids would be staying behind. My wife is employed so she would have enough to take care of herself and kids. In additional to that, I have a Haulage truck what would be generating fund for them and for other purposes while I am away.

For POF (my mom is my main sponsor) she uses her personal account which has good turnover and sitting balance, is it advisable she registers her business to use for my POF or her personal account is okay ?
Please don’t ignore this... Share your thoughts please in anyway you can.
Thank you
transferring that money to her new business account may amount to lump sum except if u are ready to build the account for 6 months plus the time it will take CAC to give u COI.The whole process could take you close your a year.find another way buy leave that money in that account that had good inflow and outflow

The date is almost here, I would have adviced you call IOM abuja, they rescheduled me for an earlier date than what IOM lagos gave me and I was notified 2days after I completed the medicals that my result had been sent to IRCC and my profile was updated the second day to passed by IRCC. Just ensure you raise a webform and upload the evidence of the medicals given to you from IOM office immediately you complete the medicals.

Good evening, looking at this reason for refusal, how do I tackle it please??

My course is a two year course… I’ve asked my sponsor to send my tuition fees to my account, so I can use my statement of account too. Will that work?

Great People and Gurus.

I am here again. I believe it is better to ask and get clarification for any uncleared issue than to make mistakes. So kindly pardon my continuous questions.

Now to the question. I have keenly observed that lots of people are getting refusal relating to finance and a larger percentage of them used sponsors.

I am married with 2 kids and going a 2years program with Co-op. Sadly i will only have 20k CAD left after 1year tuition fees payment. Will that amount be enough for self sponsor? I wants to ask so I could avoid challenges/poor documentation will proving business and relationships of sponsors.

my dear don't be scared of asking. My asking led to my success plus Gods favour.

I asked this exact question just 2 months before I applied and the answer the gurus gave me helped me a lot.

For a self sponsored applicant going for a two year course and have paid for 1 year fees, I will advice you get a sponsor that will promise to pay for your living expenses cos what you have left which is 20kCAD will serve as living expenses for one year and transport money but you need to explain how you intend paying for your 2nd year fee and living expenses since you are self sponsored and not intending to work in Canada.
