theTranslator: That's in Ghanaian context Ghanaian Hausa people are not considered an ethnic group. We consider them as a Tribe not an Ethnic group |

Just30:those groups are extinct they've mixed out and they are no longer functional you're stupid bro if you don't know that almost all of west Africa was barren until migration from north and east Africa you're very delusional you create your history and you believe it at the same time 1 Like |

vankelvin:It is not even a tribe among the Mole Dagboni groups .... The Dagomba and dagatti people the language. It's only in Nigeria where, people who lost their heritage and realized that they speak the Hausa language, came together and decided they will make it an ethnic group... Their culture is even borrowed culture from the ethnic groups they found around them. |

theTranslator:None of those groups are extinct... If you don't know, just say you don't know. Everyone knows that West Africa was barren and all the people here migrated from within the Sahara and not North Africa... Change in climate conditions and constant attacks is what drove them south to West Africa. Don't make those dumb mistakes again. Go and learn proper history and stop delving in lies and stupid arguments. 1 Like |

Mkenya2019:You are systematically calling for unemployment and hunger. It is a fact, no country has totally eradicate informal sector, in middle and low income country together with country having advance economy. For example, sale or barter. Self-employed street vendors, taxi drivers and home-base workers exist all over the world and they are largely on informal run economy. Having supermarket and malls is a culture not a tool to economic success. Here in Ghana for instance , buying items in the open market is more economical than buying from the malls , maybe that is not the case in London. They are lot of ways to target informal market as a manufacturer, retailer or the government. Electricity consumption rate, cash out circulation and even internet data rate are some of the few I can mentioned. Your Government just have to be very proactive, You can't eliminate a source that produces income to about 70 percent of your population on the ground that it is not registered nor it doesn't pay taxes,it is naive. Goverment should rather support the system by providing an equitable education among boys and girls, you should know some people operate in informal sector not because of choice but a lack of opportunity in the formal space. And likewise there should be a streamless process of obtaining funds.( Ghana has master this plan very well, read about Susu money on wikipedia) and in education, Ghana has already started. Here in Ghana , there is free education in both liberal school and vocational institution. In less than 10 years coming , we will soon enjoy the policy. 2 Likes |

Just30: The problem is you claimed 90% how does that work? Undoubtedly populations from large African civilizations migrated to different areas after the collapse and influenced the cultures of said areas but these places already had people living there so to say 90% can trace their origin to one place is stupid The Nok were in Nigeria and The Sao in Chad and Niger before the Ancient Ghana empire was even in existence a few refugees from these empires could have assimilated but not 90% as yoou wrongly claimed 1 Like |

Abohboy:How are entire ethnic groups across the entire West Africa just a few refugees? Even Timbuktu existed before Gao and Nok But the majority of people existed in the Empire while Timbuktu, Gao and Nok were small villages 1 Like |

Just30: I'm talking about the people from Ancient Ghana, Or Ancient Nubia, Or Ancient Kemet or which society you want to claim as origin only a few people from there actually left their homeland to other places in Africa the vast majority of these ethnic groups populations were already established before Ancient Ghana was even made |

Abohboy: Let me help you here The vast majority of ethnic groups in today west Africa were in the Ancient Ghana empire area.. Saying this does not mean that Small villages like Timbuktu Gao and Nok did not exist. That Ghana empire later became the Songhai Mali empire which established Timbuktu, Gao and Nok under it leadership. And all those happened before the great exedos South wards |

Just30: You clearly don't know anything about history Ancient Ghana empire was founded or at least as far as we know actually became large around 300AD Meanwhile Nok had already covered land the northern extremities of Nigeria past the confluence and had been working Iron and clay since about 1000BC Nsibidi script has been found on over a thousand monoliths spread out in an area that covers Cameroon, Cross River State and Abia State in Nigeria and they date to about 2000BC Both are way way older then the Ancient Ghana empire the most likely case is that these people already lived there and already had established nations and languages then those from Ancient Ghana came as refugees and brought aspects of their culture into other parts of Africa The Ancient Ghana empire is too young for you to be claiming that it is the origin of All West African groups maybe it's the origin of the Asante but it isn't the origin of any ethnic group in Nigeria or Benin and that includes the Fon and the Ga. |
